NNPC's Esther Ogbue's Cook Runs Off With Cash And Jewelry Totalling $6million

A cook who served Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue, a Managing Director at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Abuja, has absconded with cash and pieces of jewelry worth $6million......

It was gathered that the man, identified as Gabel Segbedji, a national of Benin Republic, took off with the loot in a Toyota Camry car which also belonged to his boss, last Wednesday.

Although reportedly devastated by the development, Mrs. Nnamdi-Ogbue did not report the burglary to the police, in the hope of avoiding further attention, as she is already under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Mrs. Nnamdi Ogbue was the Managing Director of the cash-spinning Petroleum Products and Marketing Company (PPMC) before she was moved to Products Retail by then GMD of NNPC, Ibe Kachikwu, in 2015.

Segbedji is said to have been recommended for employment to Mrs. Nnamdi-Ogbue by a close friend of hers, Toke Benson. sahara reporters source said the NNPC chief obtained the mountain of cash from kickbacks given by oil marketers

The theft of the stash is likely to affect plans for the wedding of her daughter scheduled for December in Lagos.

    1. I hope he is never found. I hope she is picked and made to explain how she came about the $6m jewelry. Heartless churchgoing criminals.

No wonder she didn't report. That was what happened many years ago when one of atiku's house helps escaped with millions of dollars but when his friends told him to use police and arrest the boy atiku refused.
The foolish guy went to the guy and started spending dollars anyhow and when the lady(atiku's gf) who got her the job got wind of this, she came home(they are from the same village) and demanded a cut from the dollar loot, the buy refused her. So she reported him to the local police who arrested, searched and recovered a lot of dollars, then contacted atiku. Atiku said flatly that he didn't lose any money. That's how the lady shared the money with the local police and released the boy with no cent.

  8. End time cook!! The cook chose to rob her at a time when she's being investigated by EFCC...wise and wicked cook. People should stop employing non-nigerians as domestic staff. If he was a Nigerian, there will be hope of recovering something or finding him, u can go to his family or keep an eye on them in case he contacts them. But in this case, the Benin republic man has disappeared!!!

I watched that video where on unemployed graduate was saying that it's bad enough that there aren't many graduate jobs but he's also struggling for menial jobs with all them togolese cause rich Nigerian homes won't even help the situation by employing struggling graduates to pay them that 50 -60k. Stella I would look for and send it to you. They aren't even helping the unemployment situation. Oya look for the guy nau. Shioor.

  39. Nigerians and crab mentality. The criticism of Mrs. Ogbue smarks of sexism and plain envy. It's so hard for Nigerians to respect an educated woman who is doing well. There has been a lot of false negative reports about her after she was put in a more visible top level position. I know her and her family and she is a born again Christian and incapable of doing what she is being accused of . How did the reporters know the value of what was stolen from her. It is so sad that Nigerians are so eager to vilify anyone that is doing well. Same way the VC of Otuoke was being wrongly accused. Do not always belief what you read in Nigeran media.

    ReplyDelete
  40. That woman should be arrested and investigated.. How much is her monthly salary?
