The Meeting Point 17 And 18

There is always a meeting point!

MP 17

Hi Stella and wonderful bvs. Here is mine and dear husbands meeting point. This might be lengthy, bear with me.

I was 26 and had taken off from Nigeria in search of greener pasture after a friend told me about some professional course in the country he resides and said the school automatically places the students in the industry upon completion of the course.

On arrival, the said friend had made me spend out of my course fee for hotel bills and other necessity. He was practically feeding and surviving on me for my first 2 weeks but i couldn't do much as he was my only contact in the country. I couldn't pay for my course without looking for extra cash anymore.

After a month, one of my new friends said he has someone who is like a big brother to him, whom has recently lost his wife leaving behind a boy who needs someone to cater for his needs but the dad doesn't want a maid kinda service. He wants a auntie or a mother figure. I saw this as a great offer, I'd be working part time and taking my course during the little boys school hours.

I was well suited up and at his office reception sinceeeeee 11am as he requested, I ended up bored, tired and still waiting till past 3pm.
Then a boss figure walked up to me (looking too serious and strict). He said "hi, come with me"

We went into their restaurant, he offered me lunch but the kain nervousness for my body no gree me take pass ice cream. I saw he was pleased with me after few questions and gave me the job. Asked that I go to his house, wait for his son's school bus, help with homework and get acquainted with the boy while he close work to catch up with me as I will be leaving his place 6pm everyday.

My boss came in @8pm and instead to let me take a cab, he dropped me off. On our way to my place he said he was going to the club and offered I come with him but as a reserve decent-forming girl that I is, I insisted on going to my apartment(in my room that night I was amazed at his transition from a strict man to a grooving kinda guy).

After a week of going from my apartment to his, of which we barely said more than 5 sentences to each other everyday, he begged I move in with them which I did.

After about a week of living with them, my boss was ready to leave for work one morning while I was making his sons breakfast, he came to me and said 'please marry me'. What?? Being dumbfounded is an understatement!!! I couldn't process the message so I just smiled and walked away.

2 days later, he started getting serious, coming home early, obstructing my movement in the kitchen or enter my room unannounced with plenty tantalizing gifts.
I gave him the cookie that week o. He is 10 years older but looks younger and behaves younger that I didn't believe his age when he told me.

We legally got married the following month then did the family party in Nigeria a year after that and the abroad wedding with friends and few families 2 weeks after the naija party. It was a destination wedding by the beach of a hotel, the tourists at the venue were mostly white and were in tears of joy at the beautiful sight(beyond what i have ever prayed for).

Today we both have 3 kids to God's glory

My prayer to single ladies out here is that God will show up for you when you least expect.
My advice on the other hand is for ladies to get going, don't pause your dream in an attempt to settle down.

Peace.

WOW!!!...i felt like i was reading a fairly tale...Happy for you

Hello Stella, I love you blog and just decided to send in my story since I've not sent anything in before.

I met my husband a month after I broke up with one boyfriend like that.

My parents had been on my neck to stop the relationship but I didn't listen, when I got tired, I just asked God for strength to leave and to give me a certain type of man. True to his Word, he did it without stress. The weekend before i met my husband, he travelled to gist one girl like that..lol. Thankfully she said she wanted to think about it. Unfortunately, we met and fell in love before she made up her mind..#winks.

I began to have issues with a tooth I had previously filled and had to go back to the dentist's. The first dentist that filled it had been replaced by another one, one handsome guy like that...lol.

As he was filling it, he and the lady assisting where gisting and laughing about a nurse that was liking him, I no know who send me but I put mouth dey laugh too, (very unlike me). After the procedure, he collected my number and gave me his own, in case I had any issues..#yimu. Before I got back to work, he had already sent me a Whatsapp message teasing me about my small mouth. I discovered he lived close to where I worked so when he closed, he came and saw me off to where I took a kekenapep home.

Throughout that week we spoke and chatted nonstop, from 5am one morning to 3 am the next everyday and he didn't fail to see me off to my bus stop. At the end of the week he asked me to "walk life's path with him" and I said yes without hesitation!

The next day he told me he was going to marry me and we both agreed to get to know each other for the next seven months.
Everyday of the next year was filled with so much fun, love and getting to know each other. Five months after we met, he officially proposed. We had to take time to convince my mum to let us get married because I had said a while ago that I didn't want to marry a doctor and she wanted me to finish my masters program first. When everyone finally agreed, we got married exactly a year to the week we met. Its two years now and we're still in love!

Wow..sweeeeet story..the beginning almost sounded like ''The Nanny'' series
