The Meeting Point 8

Calculated meeting..wow!

Stella of life,
Greetings!!! God will continue to bless your hustle. U bring life to so many people's lives. Pls keep it up. I say mek I share my own tory, hope BVs will not be bored.

I used to work with a multinational company and they usually give us weekly ‎allowances for our running cost. They send cheques in our names and we cash them, they use a particular bank for that all over Nigeria. So due to the frequent nature of these transactions we end up becoming friends with the bank officials and they give us express service each time we show.

‎I was transfered barely 6 months to a new state and had been going to cash my cheques and became friends naturally with all the tellers in the bank. We will crack jokes, yab each other and sometimes we go as late as 6pm some days (my and older married colleague) and they will still attend to us.

One fateful day, in August 2009 I think, I went to cash a cheque as usual ‎and there was this guy standing behind my best friendly teller in the bank who we all fondly call "pastor". The guy kept looking at me as I chatted with pastor as I wait for him to clear me and hand me money. Suddenly pastor turned to him and said "ah oga talk to her nah, she's from your place".

The guy looked at me again, carried the cheque saw my name and said " how can she be from my place with this kinda name". I didn't say a word and he just greeted me in my language. I answered, he asked me something again I answered, which village, I answered. He was shocked cos I don't look nor sound like someone from that part of naija.

We chit chatted for a bit while I waited, he was one of the behind the scenes bank staff so that was why I had never ran into him till that chance encounter.

I left after getting my money.

20 mins later I receive a text from someone " hi ***** we just met in the banking hall, am so so and got ur number from pastor. I hope we can be friends"‎.

I was so pissed when I got that message cos he wrote another woman's name in the text as mine, so in my mind I was like can you imagine the boldness, he's probably one of those serial cassanova bankers I have heard so much about when I came cos they were notorious in that town. They keep sleeping with any girl who will lifts her skirt ,especially corpers.

I deleted the text, didn't even bother replying and didn't save the number either. He told one of my cousins years later that he called my line 27 times and I didn't pick so he gave up. I stopped going into the banking hall, would call pastor or beg my colleague to help cash the money for me. I didn't want to become a victim of his charms cos he is really good looking and handsome.

I didn't see not hear from him again till my birthday in December when a mutual friend invited him for a friend's birthday and he tagged along. He didn't know it was me and his friend didn't know I had met him before.

Long story short, we started gisting once ‎in a while, he was made branch manager in another state and was transfered. January 1st 2010 he called me to tell me he wants to marry me and he's tired of being just friends. I did small shakara till March before I agreed. We got married November and have 3 wonderful children.

  6. Beautiful story.

Falling in love with somebody you hate everything about is the most beautiful thing. Someoe that when you just see him you get angry and later falling heads over heels for is very beautiful.

  9. I was coming back from one club like that, when I had someone screaming in a nearby bush. At first, I just wanted to ignore the cry for help. But on second thought, I decided to go and help. When I got to the spot, what I saw drove me nuts. There was this fine dude shot on d leg and arm. He was bleeding profusely. I didn't know what to do. I managed to drag him out from the bush, got a good Samaritan who took us to the hospital. At first, d doc and nurses refused to admit him claiming he might be an arm robber. But, wen the saw dat he was at d verge of loosing his life, they changed their mind. I took his fone, luckily, it wasn't on code. Called his dad, told him everything. He drove down to d hospital that morning. That was how I saved the guy's life. After the whole shooting episode, we became friends. We dated for a while then decided to get married. We have been married for 3yrs now. Blessed with triplets. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
