Brilla FM Boss Larry Izamoje’s Marries Off Daughter Phoebe To Damilola Asolo

It was a union of class and style and panache on Saturday, November 3, 2016, when Phoebe, daughter of Brila FM owner, Dr. Larry Izamoje and her Prince Charming, Damilola Asolo, walked down the aisle.

The young couple’s day began with the solemnization of their union at Salem International Christian Centre, in Lekki, Lagos, before climaxing with a spectacular reception at the Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Attended by the likes of CVL founder, Prof. Pat Utomi (who was the chairman of the occasion), Mr. Kehinde Sofola, SAN, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, (former Minister of Transport), Mr. Tunji Olugbodi (GMD, Verdant Zeal), Chief Tony Okoroji (Chairman, COSON), Mr. Biodun Shobanjo (Chairman, Troyka Holdings), Mr. Lolu Akinwunmi (MD, Prima Garnet), Mr. Tunji Bello (Lagos SSG), Mr. Yomi Badejo-Okesanya (MD, CMC Connect), Mr. John Momoh (Chairman, Channels Television), Sir Steve Omojafor (Chairman, STB McCann) , Mr. Tolu Ogunkoya (MD, Media Reach), Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Dr. Justin Okonoboh, Ogun State Commissioner for Information, Otunba Dayo Adeneye and Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah.

From the sports world, we had one-time African Footballer of the Year, Victor Ikpeba, erstwhile goal poacher, Julius Aghahowa, soccer ambassador, Friday Nwankwo Kujah, Alhaji Rafiu Ladipo, President, Nigerian Supporters Club, among many others.

The reception began with the arrival of guests, then the ushering in of the bride and groom’s parents. Followed by the couple, their first dance, chairman’s opening remarks, a special prayer for Phoebe and Damilola, then the opening prayer, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, cutting of cake, closing prayer, groom’s response, toast and so on.

Very well put together, the anchor was the Comedy Berluscconi, Gordons. There was also a surprise performance by Humblesmith of the Osinachi fame who we understand is one of the bride’s favourite artistes. Fast rising comedian, Akpororo, multiple award winning gospel artiste, Sammie Okposo and rave crooner, Falz, the bad guy, equally performed. Same with the couple who sang special numbers for each other.

The bride looked dazzling in her floor-caressing white gown, with a tiara on her head. The groom, on the other hand, opted for a combination of navy blue and brown ensemble with a sumptuous pair of.

He rode in a brown Range Rover Sport while she arrived in a gray Ford Flex, accompanied by their groom’s man (Greg Kitay) and chief bride’s maid (Debbie Larry-Izamoje). Their bridal train, made up of Paul Lalas, Rahman Abdulraheem, Qudus Agbaje, Olamide Dosunmu, Olumide Mebude, Becky Larry-Izamoje, Toluwalase Asolo, Sarah Odumegwu-Ojukwu and Daphne Akatugba looked heavenly in their burgundy and white combination.

#PDA16, like the young couple code-named their wedding, was planned and co-ordinated by Trendybee. And for a very long time to come, it will continue to rank among the best in the annals of wedding in Nigeria, and even beyond.

An elated father of the bride, Dr. Larry Izamoje, who kept moving from table to table to appreciate all those that attended had thing to say: “Thanks so much. Your prayers, presence and gifts added to the overall success of the wedding of our daughter. We thank you and have raised our voices to the Almighty God to richly reward you and your family…”
