Meeting Point 34

It is what it is!

Hi Stella, More powers to you. I got introduced to your blog by a colleague of mine and now I am more glued than she is. Pls pardon my lengthen story and I hope you enjoy it.

The invention of the meeting point struck me and I decided to share my story.

I had this female friend of mine who was going through family issues and I love her so much that after school( we were both in SS 1 in the year 2000 though different schools), I would go help her fetch water ( most common water then was the "Well").

On this very day, on getting to her place, I saw this this very tall dark cute guy playing football, I just acted like I noticed no one. The next day on our way to the "Well'' my friend said that a guy who lives around her said to her that I really like your girlfriend and I was like " please o let him respect himself".
Fast forward we became friends but I was naive because it was my first relationship ( the preaching my mum gave me about guys and pregnancy no be here).

Whenever I go to visit him, I meet about 3-4 different girls and I will be like what nonsense. What exactly am I doing here but the elder sister will come to me and say "Never mind all the girls u see here, my brother likes you more". He will take me to GCE class and escort me back even when the GCE exams were on as his centre wasn't far from me.

One day, he asked me to kiss him and I was like " Omg my mum said this", because I read in my church (Am a Catholic) I told him I couldn't as I will feel guilty standing on the pulpit. I left him there and went home.

In the year 2006, I was already in my 3rd year in the University, my course mate visited him at home and while seeing her off( u know this seeing off that u will even get to the person's house) and I got to her place as it wasn't so much of a distance and immediately I said to her: I used to be a friend to a guy that lives around, I wouldn't mind going to say hello. I went there, knocked and asked after him and I was told he wasn't around. I dropped my name down and I left.

It was on a Thursday afternoon and my evening, I was making "Ukwa" and needed potash, I didn't want to go downstairs because "Super Story" was on so I sent my baby sis. I waited and waited for my sister, I became worried as I only sent her to the shop opposite the house and I went downstairs in search of her. I got out of our gate and I was asking our Mallam if he saw her, immediately I heard my Name, I looked up and it was Him( Taller, cute and dark).

That joy of seeing him as he felt same, he immediately carried me up and turned me round, I was so happy and just I was enjoying the moment, I heard my name but in a more angry tone and behold it was my Uncle( The speed at which I jumped down from his arms eehn no be here).

I went upstairs and later that night, Our Mallam knocked at our flat, I opened the door and he handed me a paper which he said the Oga dropped with him. I thanked him, opened it and it was his contact.

Immediately I checked up on my dad, he was asleep and I took his phone, went to my room and called him, he was so happy like I was and that was the beginning of a More matured relationship as he said he will never let me leave again as he will be patient with me till whenever i was ready.

It's been 5yrs of married life and by His Grace, we are beautifully blessed with two kids( A boy and a girl).

Nice and simple story...una well done
