- The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide has condemned a statement credited to the Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, where he alleged that the Niger Delta militants were contracted to carry out attacks in southern Kaduna. THe IYC said the statement was capable of inciting people in the north against Niger Deltans. Spokesman of the IYC, Eric Omare in a statement issued in Yenagoa described the governor’s comment as reckless and condemnable.
.-- Report says the Federal Government will spend N400m on the purchase of vehicles for four former heads of government and their deputies next year. The figure formed part of the N9.882bn budgeted for the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation for the year.
- National youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ismaeel Ahmed, has advised Femi Adesina, media adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, to resign if he no longer interested in his job as he will not be allowed to use his alleged unguarded utterances destroy what APC had spent a decade and half to build. He was reacting to Adesina’s comment on why Buhari has not spoken on the killings in Southern Kaduna yet.
- Former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has said that those going to London to his predecessor, James Ibori, who has just been released from a six-year jail term in British prisons and are posting pictures and videos online are creating more problems for him. He advised them to simply visit Ibori quietly without social media posts that will generate controversies and complicate his problem.
- Founder of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has described Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose as “a rebel with potentials”. Apostle Suleman said this in a statement on Tuesday. According to the Apostle, Fayose is a man of the people.

-The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, yesterday, rejected the bill seeking equal rights of inheritance for both men and women. The Sultan said that the bill, which seeks equality for male and female children in the sharing of inherited family wealth or property was un-islamic, hence unacceptable.

A statement issued on Tuesday night by the spokesman for the AMAC Marshal, Kingsley Madaki, said the suspect who gave his name as Usman, was nabbed at 4.30pm at Utako Market and confessed that many of his colleagues had penetrated the city for a possible attack.

- A Lagos based legal practitioner, Chief Malcolm Omirhobo has dragged President Muhammadu Buhari before an Abuja Federal High Court over his refusal to appoint Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen as the Chairman of the National Judicial Council. Omirhobo is suing for himself and on behalf of Nigerians. Joined as co- defendants in the suit are: The Attorney General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, The Federal Judicial Service Commission, Hon. Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen, CFR the Chairman of the National Judicial Council and the National Judicial Council.

What a deadly allegation capable of inciting hatred and possible retaliation from the southern Kaduna. He should take the responsibility as a leader to return peace and coexistence in his state and not otherwise.
ReplyDelete-UK media giant Blomberg has said it long ago and I partly believe their analysis that president Buhari is Nigeria's problem in the first place and hence can't be the solution. He is silent in so many case within Nigeria but would offer consoling message to victims of the same circumstances in other country. He might not be the right one for us.
