The Meeting Point 50

Every couple has a meeting point....

Hello Stella. I've spent 15 minutes thinking of new words to praise you with but i'm yet to come up with something new as they've used up all the fantastic ones i'd like to use. I'd just say you make my life so beautiful from the things i takeaway from this blog and may your pen never dry of ink as God's blessings will never dry in your life.

After reading all the Meeting point stories, i became motivated to send in mine. I hope it's not boring or cliché.

I was in year 1 in the university and i loved to have fun and to live a little. I was also a little naive as that was the first time i was totally free to do anything i wanted. I loved clubbing so much i'd go on Wednesdays (Ladies free night) and on Fridays of every week. When I couldn't go with friends, i'd go alone. (Very unsafe thing to do.)

That night i wore my usual club attire ( a Short denim skirt and a pink mono strap top) lol, i still remember. I went with my male friends from Engineering department as my bodyguards. I got there early and started dancing at the play of the first dancy music. I danced well and did tons of seductive moves.

After a while the dance floor was full. He walked up to me and 'excused me dance'. While I could dance exceptionally well, I noticed he had 2 left feet. I'm certain he stepped on me a few times.

After dancing with him i left to dance with a new guy and he left the dance floor. Later he pleaded with me to meet him outside so we could talk.
Outside, he told me his name and what he does. He got my number and promised to visit me in school. Days later he visited and drove me around school. He doesn't talk much. Just replies when spoken to. He told me he'd come back on another club night to take me clubbing and he'd take me home after that. I agree.

That night came, after giving my sister his number and telling her of my plans that night, we left to the club. Danced and partied all night. And we retired to his house. He tried to do the touchy-touchy but i told him i'd love to get some sleep, that i'll let him have me in the morning when I'm feeling better.
Morning came and we had sex. He took me back to my hostel in the afternoon and became a frequent visitor. The sex was out of this world! One time, we went 8 rounds! I think it's safe to say we fucked into each others lives. 😂(Waiting for the Judginas to come get me.)

Dating him had ups and downs. He caught me cheating and i caught him too. We would break up to make up. In the relationship he was a better person than i was because he gave more than i could ever give. In all these years we were dating, we always reminded ourselves that not all long term relationships lead to marriage to avoid disappointments if it didn't work out in the end (he was from the north and i from the east, so we weren't sure parental consent would be easy to get). I was too stubborn and very silly but he tolerated me. He was and is still the only man who takes my bullshit.

Our love grew and after 8 years and a trailer load of experiences, he asked me to marry him after one of our rows. I just laughed and told him "you are not serious". He said he was and fixed a date to meet my parents. They knew about our relationship and he was welcomed with open arms. On the day of my Induction, (i'm a doctor) he slipped a beautiful ring on my finger and said 'You know na'. One year after, we had a beautiful wedding. His parents love me so much and gave me a car as a wedding present.

It's almost 3 years and 2 kids later, he's still my best friend and lover. He's still the most selfless man i ever met. So gentle, kind and generous. We know and understand each other so well that we hardly have issues. O... We still have issues but I have decided to choose my battles.

Our relationship is so strong I always have a little problem telling people where we met. But yea, i met the bone of my bones in a club and it's been one hell of a ride!

LMAO@''you know na''

God bless you both!

  12. The better we get with being transparent with each other, the better off we'll be as a couple in the long run. They say that true intimacy is letting someone see all the way into you, flaws and all. It's opening up about painful experiences that you may have gone through. It's talking about the things that scare you and the things that you have overcome. It's showing someone who you are in love with what makes you weak and allowing them to be your strength where you fall short. It's trusting someone with certain details of your life that you normally wouldn't share with anyone else. It's having the ability to be completely vulnerable in front of someone, and trusting that they'll never look at you any differently or love you any differently because of that. We can't hide behind these invisible emotional brick walls that we have put up forever. We both have to learn how to bring our walls down, so that we both can build a new home together filled with beautiful memories.

  14. So I read the chronicle where trinity was called out for dating a community penis.
Well, she's as much of a victim as everyone else who believed that yeye guy - Egbe Igbins right?. I've never participated in S n M because I argue with too many people on this blog over dumb comments. Being sapiosexuAl, I choose not to annoy myself any further 😊😊 Plus I'm an extremely picky person. ' This one good this one good na it make mad man carry load'.

However, I think people laughed at the fact that she became more arrogant once she felt she got the 'ring'. Than the fact that she was deceived. Which is not a surprise because many Nigerian women do a 360 once they feel they've clamped a man down. Someone even said she made a tribalistic comment about yorubas. Well as we can see even a Benin man can't be trusted so it's not about tribe.

Can people just keep all the excitement until the wedding bells start ringing?!! Is it too much to ask? In this day and age where Nigerian men are something else, when someone slaps me with their wedding invitation I don't blame them. I just ask for asoebi and appear. Bettery than carrying trumpet only to come and disppointed later.

But as usual, some of us don't learn. I still saw someone commenting yesterday that she met an S n M boo few days ago and is spending new year with his family. You just met someone and you're already rushing to meet his family in less than a week and you're excited and telling him you love him in the comment section.

In this day and age if you choose not to have sense you never will. As i always say: Smart women rule!!! ✌

People have been known to meet the devil in places that you and I considered appropriate.

Enjoy your home. You sound like a carefree person.
