  3. That's quite a long distance to travel from Kaduna/Abuja. Why close the airport totally. They should be working on the runways one after the other not closing all entirely.

  4. They can repair the runway and still operate at the same time. The runway are in a bad shape they wait for it to get so bad and then start to inconvenience people shame on them.

  5. Nigeria my country!! Why not work on the runways at midnight or one at a time? Why close it down entirely? Makes no sense abeg, but what do I know really?

  6. This clueless govt. Why not divert all flights to the domestic wing? Knowing fully well about their intentions to fix the runway, why didn't they authorities think about hastening repair works at the domestic airport? Imagine diverting flights to kaduna! A state that is already boiling with killings et all. They are just giving these hardened criminals a field day to rob and kidnap innocent people on that notorious kaduna -Abuja express way.
Biko, they should do something about the domestic wing. Gov't is a continuum. They just can't abandon the domestic wing like that bc it was a project of the past administration. Why does this govt always like to cause sufferings on the people?

  8. Is it that Nigerians are generally dumb or is just SDK visitors???

The Abuja airport has only ONE (1) runway that serves both the domestic and international terminals, thus it's closure would imply closure of both terminals.

How is the runway supposed to be repaired at night and opened in the morning period, how?
They've said the runway is in a bad shape thus if it needs sectional replacement, the best thing is to close it ,repair get the cement base settled and cured before it can be opened for use.

To avoid this situation in the future, a 2nd runway needs to be built ASAP.
