Kamal Ajiboye stays silent over recent rift with Davido

If a recent Snapchat post by popstar, Davido is anything to go by, all is not rosy between him and his manager, Kamal Ajiboye.

Davido, known for his rants on social media, had written during the week, “F**k all that international s**t. It’s cool but I’m back to the basics…I am my own manager (in) 2017. Don’t put your life for (sic) another man’s hand.”

Many of the Owo ni Koko singer’s fans and social media followers took it to mean that he had given Kamal the boot, and that is the gist presently circulating on blogosphere.

However, when Sunday Scoop sought to know the true picture of things from Kamal, he did not give an answer. He initially asked our correspondent to send him a text message, and when the SMS was sent to him, he did not respond. He also did not reply several calls put through to him throughout the week.

Meanwhile, it is also not clear if Davido’s deal with Sony Music still stands. Davido put ink to paper on the Sony Deal in January 2016, but industry observers and music pundits believe that, rather than snowball his career, the deal is actually dragging him back. Davido only released one single, Gbagbe Oshi, last year, and his widely publicised EP, Son of Mercy, which was supposed to be released in the latter part of 2016 has not seen the light of day.

  4. David I have observed has displayed a high level of stupidity that I do not understand always in the news with negative stories around him. He doesn't look like a good person to me apart from that he talks anyhow no sign of responsibility. He is very serious about his music nothing else is good about him.
