BTW, this was the same unfounded outrage when Maroko was being cleared back then, but go there today and tell us that what it is today is not better than the Maroko slums that it was.

The affected people won't be able to recover all because of the iron rods with gravel on top their wares.these same people pay taxes and levies to Government. It was a sour site to behold.

Good morning and happy Sunday my people.

  12. This is so sad.
I know people will say they were given ample time, but look at it this way.
This is the only means of livelihood for some people,no hope.. ofcourse they will like to hang on till the last minute, waiting and praying for a miracle to happen.

I feel so sad because I know people are not having it easy out there. It hurts.
I hope they have genuine plans for them.. I have seen cases of demolished shops in Lagos where the shops were resold to the owners again. Apart from that you still need to lobby or lose out.

If only they will have straight, impartial ways of handling these things and even a sort of compensation,I'm sure these traders will be hopeful.
Remember these are people's parents oh... men and women sweat everyday to make honest livings.
Are they going to be relocated to a temporary site? What will happen to their means of survival while work is going on?
    This report isn't complete.
    Sad!!!

This is very painful but the blame should be shared equally.to the govt, its too early in the year to do this and to the people, they where warned not to errect structures there but they didn't listen, they were told to move thier goods and vacate the shops because the structures were already marked for demolishing but they still didn't listen. 29. KIDJO you are the animal with no brain, she goat with nothing but a stinky pussy to boast of. So because Nigeria is not as developed as Germany there should be lawlessness and it should be tolerated and condoned. They were given warnings and ample time to move and if they don't move their shops will be demolished. Even Ify dearie commented that they will like to hang on till the last minute, waiting and praying for a miracle to happen. What miracle?.

If you don't have anything sensible to say don't make yourself look stupid just STFU. Let them go back to their villages and erect shops where ever they please and not in a place where they are trying to enforce law and order. It is people like you who make Lagos state and Nigeria in general ungovernable by the few people that are trying to do things correctly. By now even the Stella should know how things should be done and stop encouraging people to flaunt the law but try to abide by it. Anyone who heeds her advice or opinion is doomed.

Who amongst us here does not know or has not heard what Lagos State government want to do With Oshodi? Why are we like this as a people? Everyday, we call Buhari's name on top economy matter, not knowing it is every action that we take, that contributed to us being here, including defending looters Like mama peace & her husband.

    1. FRESH,I totally understand your point of view.

Yes we know Lagos state has a plan.. a good one.
The problem is the distrust of government.

These people have been burnt severally, most of them have lost their shops due to cases like this,so I'm sure they are reluctant to start all over again.

After waiting for years for the relocation, they realize that their shops have been taken away through the back door.

So the question still remains, what is the plan to cushion the effect of the damages?

They were given ample time yes,but I don't think any reasonable trader will just watch his goods destroyed because he's just "stubborn" The only reason a full grown man will be crying over his wares that are been destroyed even though he knows the bulldozers will come one day is "hustle"
If they had 💯 percent hope and assurance that they are safe in the hands of the government,I'm sure they would have gone home to sleep just like the "saner" climes you all mentioned.

This is my emotional side talking here. I can't have a contrary view.
