Hmmmm OK let me relax and start my gist. Greetings to you Mrs Korkus abeg you need to chop kisses for the wonderful platform you have created because, even some people who claim to serve God have not provided a platform of help to people. God bless you real good.
Back to my gist. I got posted to Ekiti state with the 2015 batch B, stream 1 and on seeing my posting letter hot tears gushed down my eyes cos I wanted to serve in d East where hubby(boo as at then) is based. God consoled me as two of my close friends were posted to Ekiti also so I just calmed down a bit.
We got to camp a day before and settled down and because I was not happy being there I kept getting angry each time they spoke yoruba(even the educated ones will barely speak a full sentence without adding yoruba) and I told myself I was never gonna learn the language...lol.
I had to adjust and I went to register at d camp clinic as a medical personnel and that was where I spent most of my stay in camp administering drugs till I also fell sick and I thought I could redeploy but it was late.
After camp I was posted to Ado Ekiti hospital management board and I was happy, omo on getting there a yoruba man asked me what is pharmacology(my course of study) said he has not heard of it.

I said shuuu this people will not kill person, I Sha explained and he said OK, told us to wait around for hours, had to go look for a joint that sells pounded yam as I heard Ekiti people are good with it, Omo na waste my money enter. I got back there and the man said I should come back the next day only to get there and was rejected. I started ranting and told the man that he should have said so yesterday as he don't know how we managed to accommodate ourselves,my rant didn't change anything so I had to go look for a PPA willing to accept me(took me almost a week).
To cut the story short I got engaged to Le boo February 14th,so marriage plans kicked off after introduction in March 2016, I was practically not serving as my PPA I just go to sit n gaze at the wall and close, so I minimized my time with planning for my wedding, got married in August to one handsome, tall, dark guy and we are soon to be parents.
I was a good girl I guess, not even partying for once as hubby can check on me like that's his only job.
Sorry for my long post, I even had to summarize. In all am glad am done with NYSC.(i heard e Pele corper tire, their way of greeting corpers.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your marriage, you didn't say much about your service though, it's funny an igbo person can complain about people speaking only their language when you people are the masters of that art, my friend would speak ibo with her friends when I'm their midst and they don't feel it's bad or rude, very annoying something.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed BV abamade's story, my 2nd best so far, I felt like I served with her too detailed. BUt I have a question how do you still hear from God when you still gbensh on and off? This hearing from God thing no only me Waka come? I want to hear too oh.
