    1. So you people believe this crap? Ok let's see if it will stop.
This same black soot is in warri and it is coming from no other place than the illegal refineries where they are cooking Oyel.
The Niger deltans have successfully pursued she'll and other oil companies because they want their oyel. Now they fabricate local plants where they cook oil and release all other petroleum byproducts into the air. I will show you this same black soot from my house in Ogunu Warri.
I also experienced it in Ogoni (Kedere/Bidere/ bua Yege axis when I did a community project there.
Let us see if the soot will stop. These plants are owned by top politicians in the Nigerdelta so they will look for someone to lay the blames on. Only time will tell. I can't even spread white clothes outside. Is the Chinese company in Warri?

    2. They shouldn't just be shut down, they should be made to pay heavily for the nuisance and health threats they caused.

    3. This is bullshit. I doubt this.

    4. It is doubtful, but at least, someone, somewhere has taken note. If we are the ones doing this to ourselves as Anony in Warri above stated, then truly there is no hope for Nigeria. Unless of course they are unaware of the implications. They will make money and die before they can spend it. Rubbish

    1. Wasn't there a team of HSE people to do an environmental Impact Analysis? They will collect huge money's from these companies and ask them to do whatever they like.
They will even be the ones to suggest to the company. These are people the gov is paying as ministry of environment to help us. They are now carrying only the company. Who authorised the company to kick off in the first place. Who kept approving their operation permit?

    2. Anon thanks for pointing out @ EIA.Of kez there was no EIA. And if the company has signed contracts and gotten operation permits with fed govt they won't want to back out like that.

  5. Very stupid fellows. imagine the guts. China's air is highly polluted with black smog causing health/respiratory problems - as a result you see citizens with masks. China is very destructive to the world at large.
Noone or the government seems to be checking Chinese activities in Nigeria. Most Chinese are illegally in Nigeria doing one thing or the other at the detriment of Nigeria ' economy or health. As for those of you who relish Chinese cuisines, you may want to check yourselves with what you eat. remember you are not in their kitchen to know what is being put in your food. not even the workers will know.
Government should do something about illegal Chinese imigrants.

  8. But who gave them clearance in the first place? I bet nobody will be booked for this premeditated crime.

  9. They will call them expatriate and diplomats saying they are above the law. God bless this country, who gave approval for the establishment of the company in the first place, what was written in the proposed business plan, didn't they ask what possible risk it would pose to the environment, if this question was asked then there is so much room for them to be sued but like the corrupt people we are this would be the last time we would hear of it.

  18. The Rivers State government should not just shut down the company. These people should be summoned in court for endangering the lives of innocent citizens.

Ohh I almost forgot, we are in Nigeria- a lawless country. No developed country will tolerate this.

By the way, nice move from the Rivers Stae government. It can only get better.
