    1. I read that he took expired antimalarial drugs. I don't know how true it is because Nigerians are known to fabricate stories and always look for who blame once someone dies.
If it happens to be true, please let's endeavour to pay attention to minor details like expiry dates and stuff.
Some people say "common" malaria. There is nothing common about malaria, malaria has killed more people than another disease. If you don't completely treat it or ignore it or don't use the appropriate medication for a complete period of time it might ascend to a life threatening complication.
Cerebral Malaria (in the brain) will push you into Coma immediately, malaria causes Kidney failure, it causes severe anaemia, hypoglycaemia, black water fever, and many other features that can cause instant death.
If he has a background enzyme deficiency that causes red blood cells to die, taking antimalarial drugs can trigger that cascade and in hours the story might change (G6PD defficiency).
Please let us use this opportunity to read up the severe malaria and complications.
It is not all forms of malaria that is treated with tablet. In serious cases, you will need IV drugs for atleast 48hr period. Don't call malaria "COMMON" even here in the UK, Senior doctors still enter panic mode when they hear malaria. Most of them can't even treat it without inviting specialists in tropical medicine.
The people that are prone to this sever type of malaria include Children, the elderly, Pregnant women (pls pls pls, get a mosquito net, do not allow mosquito to bite you when you are pregnant), people that reside in malaria free countries that just arrived malaria endemic countries, adults that usually take antimalarial very often ( you reduce your malaria immunity and become like people living overseas) we need that 1+ of malaria parasite in the blood to give us immunity against severe forms of malaria. It is like immunization. Don't go and clear all the parasites in your body, we need a little to develop antibodies against this severe forms.
Please let's take out 1hr today and read about malaria. Use your smart phones smartly.

  18. It's the young wife and son I pity. To tell a story of "I'm a widow" and I'm fatherless at such a young age is clearly saddening.

Now nonso is a widow at 27 haba, I couldn't sleep last night cus I was just thinking. May God give his family the strength to bear this loss

  22. Our keyboardist just said it now in church, he said he took expired drugs. He made some emotional speech and told us to reflect on our lives, we should appreciate God for things like the air we breath, accidents we survived and other things we don't place value on.

    RIP handsome.

    1. Do they know the name of the drug? They should tell already!! Even if we can't sue that company needs to be out of business asap. Oh my.....

      Delete
    2. Chikito expired drugs got nothing 2 do with d company na. d pharmacy should b held liable for selling expired drugs. Eric shouldve been more careful. I dont buy anything without looking at d expiry date since d day expired relaxer almost remove my brain.

1st step 2 being natural now. Lol.

      Delete
    3. Chikito, I see u as more intelligent than this comment.

If d drug company put d expiry date on d packet, then it will be d retailers' responsibility to monitor and properly dispose of d medicine when d date is due.

So I really don't know what u r on about here.

      Delete
    4. Where its in a hospital's dispensary then d hospital should not administer it on a patient.

The drug company has absolutely nothing to do with it when it relates to expiry date. Only of course if they fail to indicate d date as required.

    5. As he is critically sick he shld check what hosp.gave him. Say RiP and stop blaming the dead. Abeg too much sense wont save u when death comes knocking.

      Delete
    6. Tessbaby.. the horror is that they even manipulate these dates now.
They lift the expired dates and affix the current one.

Like i dont even know how to think about all the things that are wrong in our country..
Cant people be fair and honest in their dealings?

I just thought of it,if im overly careful and watch out for these dates, how about the ones they change, how do i freakin know? Im just tired!!

    7. Iphie u dont say. Never tot of dat. Too bad one cant b too careful. Smh.

  26. The reason Kidney failure is on the increase these days i suspect is from Malaria drugs.. especially expired ones.
I personally think so,no scientifc test to prove that.
But i have been trying to understand why young men and women that never smoked, never drank... didn't have prior kidney problem will suddenly have failing kidneys...

Most of the drugs we abuse.. especially the ones shipped in must be responsible for this.
I have a strong feeling about it.

  32. Please people should stop spreading rumors. If delsuth killed this guy you think the parents would be quiet about it. He didn't have malaria. He had chronic CKD and he was really sick. They even dialysed him before he died. Yes I work there. The family wants it kept under wraps so be it

    ReplyDelete

    1. This info is true... He was really sick but was so happy and jovial only a few noticed. He was rushed into the hospitals and taken to ICU straightaway. He died in ICU after a session. Of dialysis.

      Delete
    2. His immune system was already compromised. The malaria story is the official cover up story. Those close to the family know the ailment he has been battling with.

My friends son died in that same hospital....wats ur story??? Before you get to see d doctor in that fucking hospital, you have to drop something...see ehn just dont provoke me this morning. The Nigerian medical system is messed up we know. In Oghara it is worse off.

      #My case is different

    8. You are so dumb for writing this, what happened in patients privacy? What the hell is chronic CKD? 'know know' go kill u one day. U just typed chronic chronic kidney disease. Fool, that can't keep pts privacy. BTW, I work in Delsuth too, plus, am a regular SDK bv, but I will never spill such details abt a pt.

      Delete
    9. Which one is CKD again . pls enlighten us

      Delete
    10. Anonymous 13.28 who's the know know? I wrote 'Chronic CKD' because I was trying to keep it under wraps. I knew the 'C' in CKD already stood for the 'chronic' I wrote but I wanted to encode it hence the totology. As for divulging pt's privacy, this same reason is why our hospitals are under fire daily. If this had happened in an international health care system, the hospital would have done a press conference to ensure their reputation isn't ruined Go everywhere on social media Delsuth is under the Axe. Everyone is saying he was killed by the hospital and no! I am not a cleaner. The information is out anyway I practically heard two strangers discussing it at the hospital's lobby I didn't have to go through his file to find out. Get a grip over yourself and learn to pass your message across without throwing insult.
