Grammys 2017 - Adele Wins Album Of The Year And Gives All Credit to Beyoncé + Full List

Adele was the big winner of the night, taking five awards, including Album, Song, and Record of the Year at last nights 59th Annual Grammy awards...

After making a few notes about her difficulties adjusting to motherhood (“I struggled, and I still do struggle, being a mom. It’s really hard”), Adele took an unexpected turn — offering her victory to the woman she felt should have received it, namely fellow pop diva Beyoncé.

“I can’t possibly accept this award,” Adele brokenly said, her voice choked with tears. “I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé … the Lemonade album was so monumental, and so well thought-out, and so beautiful and soul-baring.

“We all got to see another side of you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that,” Adele continued. “And all us artists [expletive] adore you. You are our light. And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have. And I always will.”

Beyoncé and her husband, rapper Jay Z, looked on from the audience and applauded, clearly moved. Beyoncé was actually in tears, clasping her hand to her heart and mouthing the words “Thank you.”

. Beyoncé, who was the most-nominated artist of the night, took home two.

  1. I was hoping to see Tiwa in the audience...
Beyonce lost out again and that lemonade album is everything! Adele did well by giving her the right recognition.

    1. Even red carpet sef, I no see Tiwa.

Bruno Mars is good, he channelled Prince so well and almost real. Great performance.

  2. I was looking for the channel to watch this show yesterday, I just tire.
Prolly cuz my bouquet na 3,600 own.

    My Bey!!!
Adele darling, I understand your love for Bey but next time you win a grammy, shut up and accept it. Don't make the organisers feel they made a mistake choosing you. You deserved it and I applaud you.
Bey accepts all her awards with pride cuz she knows she "worked" her ass off.

I love you two great women.
I wish Graham won a grammy too. I love his "7 years" song.

What of Riri? Riri is a talented singer and all but she is no legend honey.
30 years from now, nobody want's to hear "work work work work work work".

    1. Repeat @19 : 00PM on Channel O 320 today

    2. Thank you my darling.
      Reminder set.

    3. Hahahhahahaha
U are right though. About Her taking her peacefully taking her award and keeping mute about who should or shouldn't have won it.
About Riri. Lol. No one may wanna hear Work Work Work but surely we wil still wanna hear Daimonds!😘

    4. I dont think it has to do with your bouquet. Or does it?
Pipi i asked too in the previous post. Dunno if i checked for the show late.

So i will watch out on 320

    5. Ahhhhhhhhh.
      Diamonds gives me chills!
I actually fell in love with that song when little girl sang it during an audition in BGT.
A lot of covers did justice to that song.
I love "Unfaithful" and 'FourFive Seconds".

    6. Iphie, I answered too in the previous post.

  3. They keep trying to massage the ego of black people.
They are always angry about something or at someone.
25 was a good album but it was all about love and I didn't see a bigger message in it.
Lemonade was alright and focused on women empowerment/black struggle but still Justin Bieber did great on his album Purpose.
I have all 3 albums on my phone and most times I skip some songs on lemonade, 25 I listen and love almost half of the song.
I can't listen to hello after it was abused on this blog.
Purpose was and is a good album and deserved to win. Justin outdid himself and showed a more grown up side of him.

    1. Doppel they both outdid themselves in '25' and 'purpose', it was clearly Adele's year.

    2. Doppel they both outdid themselves in '25' and 'purpose', it was clearly Adele's year.

    3. Bet Beyonce worked so hard on her Lemonade album, extra hard this time. It's just Adele's year.

  4. Bey's performance was good even with the pregnancy.
Blue ivy looked adorable and Adele has never hidden the fact she loves Beyonce congrats to them.

  5. Mbok what does Solange sing?
Awwwwwww nothing for my RiRi this time, work work work did not work for her this time.

  6. "Do you remember being born?
Are you thankful for the hips that cracked,
the deep velvet of your mother and her mother and her mother?
You look nothing like your mother; everything like your mother.
You desperately want to look like her,"
How to wear your mother's lipstick? You must wear it like she wears disappointment on her face.
Your mother is a woman, and women like her cannot be contained.
I think of love as trees, growing to and from one another, searching for the same light.
Why are you afraid of love?
You think it's not possible for someone like you, but you are the love of my life.
    The love of my life.
There is a curse that will be broken.
One thousand girls raise their arms now that reconciliation is possible.
If we're gonna heal, let it be glorious.".
You look nothing like your mother, you look everything like your mother.

Original poem composed by 'Wasan Shire'

    1. Stella I typed a whole lot(an ode) on Beyonce before this and you refused to post????

      Post joor.

    3. Hahahahaha
      SDK the hater!!!

      Olivia, don't mind her.

  7. Jealousy people go wan eat Adele for that. Queen Bey all the way. I love Adele, she doesn't go nude to sell her album and she's always winning. Love her personality.
