The „King of Pop“ died in Los Angeles on 25 June 2009. The official cause of death was acute poisoning by the anaesthetic „propofol“.
Now Jackson’s German friend, Michael Jacobshagen (33), is speaking out. The Munich native tells BILD: „Michael was afraid that someone would murder him. He felt that he was being followed. He always thought that people just wanted his money.“
Jacobshagen, who met Jackson at age 12 and later accompanied him on a number of tours, has divulged about 50 hand-written notes as proof of the megastar’s fear of death. Some of them are acknowledgements such as „I enjoyed our time together. I will always love you.“
On other notes, however, Michael Jackson also wrote about his fears. „I am afraid someone is trying to kill me.“ Or: „The system wants to kill me because of my catalogue (i.e. the rights to his music, editor’s note)“.
Jacobshagen received some of these notes directly from Jackson, and others were given to him in mid-2015 by Jackson’s mother, Katherine (86): „She has kept countless notes and told me: ‘Take what you need and disclose the truth’. She said I could also write a book, but that never happened.“
Jackson’s daughter, Paris (18), gave an interview last week, in which she claimed: „He (Jackson, editor’s note) was convinced that someone would kill him one day“. It is because of this interview that Jacobshagen is now making the secret notes public. „I felt obliged to show the notes after Paris went public.“
Does Jacobshagen believe that Michael Jackson was murdered?
„I saw him for the last time in April 2009. I have never spoken about this before. What I can say is that he was afraid of his then manager, and he said that, for health reasons, he would never be able to get through the 50 scheduled concerts.“
Jacksons death remains a mystery.
