Nigerians Deported From the UK Arrive Lagos Airport (photos)

The 41 Nigerians deported from the United Kingdom arrived Lagos yesterday..
The deportees were very aggressive and refused to interact with newsmen.

They screamed intermittently that they were deported unjustly.
Some of them who refused to be identified told Vanguard; “We were not even given any chance to pick any of our possession.

‘’This is inhuman and our government will surely not do anything about it. We know them.”
The 41 Nigerians were deported from the United Kingdom allegedly for various
immigration offences. They arrived at the cargo terminal of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja Lagos in a chartered Air bus 330 aircraft which touched ground at about 7:40 am.

They were made up of 33 males and eight females and were said to have been living illegally in the UK as their visas had expired.

OMG...they arrived cargo terminal like goods?WOW!!!

    2. Lmao. Where did they ever see deportees being allowed to pick their luggage? Once you are caught off you go with the just the clothes on your back.
They should just thank God for safe journey.

    2. Idiotic statement from you "The Observer". I don't understand how insensitive and depressed Nigerians can be.
You're rejoicing over people being deported to a country with no law and future.
I hope when you get into a situation you can't help yourself out; people will be there to make mockery of you when you don't find help.
      EWU.

  4. Hahahahahahaha!
Why won't they be aggressive? Someone is trying to run from hardship in this country and you throw them back to square one, yet you want them to be happy. It's a pity though, if only they composed themselves, they would not be in this mess. Welcome back home and please be of good behaviour while here, we have enough to deal with already.

    1. Must you comment on issues beyond your comprehension?
If only they composed themselves? Bullocks.

Some of these people may have been picked up at work, in their homes, at train stations etc.

Some of them sent application to the home office to perfect or renew their visas but were refused. Get enlightened and stop making it seem like they committed a crime.

    2. Bless you anonymous 10:02, Nigerians are really depressed with the type of comments here.
Should Stella be saying they were being aggressive? Not like Stella herself was born in Europe.
Anonymous 9:39, did you really need to write out all that crap? Its obvious you're depressed.

    1. Another Dundee United. They may have gone "legally" and then their visas expired in the UK. Attempts to renew may have been unsuccessful hence their predicament.

    2. Peacemaker, you need to change that name. Its obvious you're an idiot and dint know anything about visa application, so they went into a country illegally?

  20. I hv to go anonymous on this!! Yes Stella they use cargo flight for deportees this days. Usually, the whole of EU member countries will gather all their deportees and they will be picking them up from one country to the other. Belguim was the meeting point for the Nordic countries (Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden) The last time I interpreted for my country of resident, becuase I speak Ibo, Yoruba, English and the language of my country of resident fluently. Some Nigerian guys who tried to make troubles were chained. A facial mask like the ones they use for dogs that bites were used on one guy who tried to bite a police officer. The worst part of it is that even as an interpreter you are not allowed to go into the plane with a camera or a phone that has camera.

  21. Abeg na everywhere this Ghana must go dey enter? Na question I ask o.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Those Ghana must go bags do not belong to them. When you're caught, you get taken to a detention centre and arrangements made for a flight to take you back home. They are not allowed to take anything except the clothes they have on.
Since its the cargo terminal, I'm sure they are luggages for other passengers that goes through to baggage claim.
These people despite their immigration status have worked and earned money but since they've been deported, the money goes to the government unless someone has your details to withdraw your money and send to you back home.
It's a very sad case! Where will they even start from??

    ReplyDelete
  23. Some will still look for other ways (legal or anyhow anyhow) of returning abroad even after this humiliation. I no pity any of them.

  26. Hi, a couple of individuals, Nigerians and Ghanaians who still have cases in the UK court of appeal were deported on these clandestine flights. The court has not even decided their case, the Home office asked them to sign on at their offices weekly and they were picked up. Do these guys come across as criminals to you. That is the injustice you sometimes find happening with uk immigration system.
