Service Year Boulevard 77

*Red side eyes*

Nice job you doing Ma'am. The Lord is your muscle, lol.

I graduated 2015, that was when stream one and two ish started. I did my registration early hoping to be among the stream one only for posting to be out and I was with stream two, extra 3 weeks at home, haaa, annoying.

My mind was so at rest that i will serve in Osun state, all the 'uncles' and 'friends' that were on the posting matter said there was no problem, but when posting was out i was posted to Enugu state, aye mi my life, Enugu bawo. you have to redeploy, its to far, who do you know there? bla bla bla was what i was hearing. Inside of me i knew i wont redeploy (though there were times i wish i did)

I went to camp from Abuja a day earlier which was on 24th November, with the hope that the vehicle was going to Enugu direct, only for us to be dropped at Nsukka, we had to take another vehicle going to old park from there.

From what i have read online on stuffs you would need in camp, i made 10 copies each of all my credentials, passports in red and white background, i ended up using just two passport and one copy of my school certificate, those people can lie sha.

My heart started to break from the entrance to the camp, the ground was as if you are climbing stairs, I already knew there will be fire on the mountain through out my stay in camp. i got an hostel to stay for the night got a friend that evening, she also happened to be my bunk mate in camp.

The food we were served was terrible, ranging from saltless rice with pepperless stew, eba and river Niger (draw soup), a single porridge yam that will be as big as my head, etc. thank God for mammy market saving lifes from time immemorial.

some days after camp opened harmathan started, OMG, i wish i could run away, the camp was surrounded by hills and trees, i had to stop bathing in the morning before i go and freeze outside, i do bath before or after lecture, lecture time is usually my siesta time na to get better chair with handle and sleep, lolz. i didnt participate in any activities apart from the compulsory matching and excercise i also didnt contribute the 500 every platoon 2 member was expected to pay.

Through out my stay in camp, i was just calculating the day we will leave. I did not attend any social night despite my hostel (Hostel E) was close to the auditorium, i love my sleep and considering the fact that we have to be up before 5am, some girls are spirit they dont sleep because they have to paint their face to parade ground and they wont let you sleep too.

The D-day came, i was posted to ***** secondary school, Mgbagbu-owa, at Ezeagu LG. i was to take Civic Education, language was a barrier as most of the staffs there uses igbo to teach them, English was war for them even pidgin english, did the little i could sha.

At the community there has been no light for a long time, another charging wahala continues, there was only a shop where we charge, despite we pay to charge they only on their generator at will, during that period we have timetable for browsing and even when your phone will be on when i could not take it again i turned to ajala. the longest i stayed at enugu was a month plus, i will travel for weeks, 3 been the least.

The journey to secretariat for CDs and payrolling is usually tough, mostly we do beg tipper drivers (we call it corpers jeep) to give us lift, atimes we will sit on sand. these are the times i wish i had redeploy, Enugu was also quite expensive despite i was at the village the only thing i didnt buy was water. we were lucky in my community to have water, most communities dont have water.

When we were told stream two POP was November 4 while stream one will leave October 6 come and see orisirisi curse, i even feel sick but thank God i went and return safely and in good health

find attached a picture of one of the CDs day in our corper jeep for your eyes only.

Hope i did not "west" your time...

*So who be the KOFA you stand with for the photo?abi make i post am?

I really wish i can serve my country too but i am very sure i cant cope. I studied outside the country, that's not even my problem but i cannot stand the slightest dirt. My toilet and house is sparking but i can't even sit without thoroughly wiping and cleaning. If I'm pressed outside i'd never use any toilet till i get home (lol). I pee at 6 in the morning when i wanna bath and i only pee again at 5 when i get home cause i can't use the toilet at work. I don't know what to do, is there a cheat to this NYSC thing? i will fall sick if i even step in that camp judging from the stories yll write here.

I am married with a kid, will that give me some kind of preference as to the state i will serve??? uggh

Boring story!
So no guy ask you out for camp?
How did you impact in your PPA?
Does Enugu pay corpers, if yes, how much?
What happened to your friend/bunk mate?

Btw, I suspect some of these 'kitchen people' at NYSC camps reach agreement with Mami women, to enable them makes sales, as per state of food, judging from stories so far.

Christ, what has the Nigerian educational system turned into? Someone who calls herself a graduate cannot write a simple sentence without grammatical errors? "Staffs"? Wow!
No regards for present or past tenses. This is shocking! Tomorrow they will be crying no jobs. Why will I hire someone that can't write simple english?
This is crazy!

@Peaceful Peace, you just have to debug your mind and do it. Camping is just 3 weeks.
I also schooled abroad and met other foreign graduates in camp. I even ran into a fellow school mate (female) with whom I didn't ever exchange greetings with back in Canada (You know how you girls behave when we're all abroad).
We finally got talking and I started developing interest in tasting the cookie (Story for the day I decide to share my SYB). LOL
Bottom line, service is fun. When you get to camp you'll meet other foreign students who are softer than you are. Darling you'll survive, toilet or no toilet. :-)

@peaceful peace ,don't worry to serve your fathers land, in the future when the need arises you will know that serving ones father land is the best achievement in Nigeria ,you can't get a political appointment, you can't get promotion to a certain level in the public service etc
As for you can't use toliet outside ,I can relate but wait till hot shit catch you go use pit toliet sef.lol
For copa your story no sweet bcos you just pass thru ,u didn't let the service and enugu pass thru. I have travelled wide in Nigeria ,I know Enugu is among the dry state in nigeria but I tried my best to have fun any state I visit. Learn to have fun and learn new things from the places you visit

Thats how it starts, attention seeker, ever seen any yoruba person spewing so much hate, nah nah but you and your fellows never fail to reveal the kind of hate in your upbringing, thats why u this migrants will keep being at d background while other tribes remain at the top.Ur hate wont change anytn, we will remain who we are.....just choke on ur hate, ntoooor

Anonymous said...

Dear Poster, if you get a job (I mean a good/professional/graduate job) with the Agbero English you have written here then there is no hope for REAL graduates.

Please make sure you ask your School for tuition refund because you deserve to be a meat seller not a graduate.
