    5. I remember when they banned guys from female hostel then. The hostel was so boring, no more Mr Moremi at 10:00pm. I hope that's been scrapped.
Dem won turn Unilag to something else.

    2. You dey mind Stella? Alarmist 😂. It's a normal disciplinary measure that is routine in other schools. Unilorin has been doing this since God-knows-when. It's necessary abeg.

Tell them to dress responsibly not sew them a uniform

BTW, read and passing my opinion based on the post title. Body copy too tiny to read

    1. Just read again from a wide screen.

      Sensationalised header.

Nothing bad with what's written on the dress code memo, just some dos and don'ts

The aim is discipline and appearing responsible.
      Good one.

They simply asked them to dress responsibly.

  9. ABSU did that almost 10years ago and it worked. Indecent dressing reduced to the barest minimum. If you wear indecent clothes and try to come into campus, you will be sent back. Nice one sha

    1. Let's be frank and sincere.

What the youths wear these days is alarming and indecent.
I believe in dressing for the occasion, you are in a SCHOOL, an academic environment, a place to learn and NOT a club or beach.

      Dress decently for lectures.
When you are out, go naked if you want.

You can't be heading to class and look like you are going to quilox, there is time for everything.

Good move by the school, let's hope its followed up.

    2. I remember unical's own they were catching indecently dressed girls and putting in an open van that goes round campus with them in it. Under sun or rain. You think you are hot? Let that van just stop near you. Security will jump down and pursue you and catch you and put you in the van. You drop at the security gate beside etta agbor and sign an undertaking with your name and matric number then you go home for that day. Even if you have exam you're going home. You will think that security won't remember your face due to the amount of student but those guys had wizard eyes. Hahaha. That thing tamed babes very well they will be crying and making calls at the gate esp when they have assignment submission/test/exam. The babes with cars were luckier though because the van won't see them. Black annoying patrol van 😂😂

Like I always tell people there's good enough fashion for a decent girl. Choose the right one.

    3. Love me jeje is actually correct. She is instructing and can use the word 'teach' and 'yesterday' here is figurative. You can't use 'taught' to explain itself in a defining sentence.

  13. Please its goof biko, decency is becoming a thing of the past, its not as if they are going to wear uniforms to school, they just want to check mate indecent dressing, bayelsa uni does this you don't dress any how there. I don't see anything bad here.

    1. Well, unical did this back then(sleeveless?wasnt allowed) but as a sense geh....instead of going through the main gate,i always went in through the back gate(goldie market gate). When those security personnel see me,they feel i'm going to female hostel or malabor. Pending the direction i take.
      Hehe.. Bad ass Shan#

    2. @shan, even Goldie gate, they'll catch you now a days . But it's good measures sha.

    3. In Ekpoma then, they noticed those that dress indecently go through bush path. They started catching them there.

  14. Absolutely ridiculous, this list is targeted at women... Extremely sexist.
Whilst some ladies dress provocatively, there should also be strict rules stating when a girl says no she means a capital NO.
Under no circumstance should a girl or any woman be forced against their will even if they are wearing pant and bra only.
What about a rule for lecturers to stop harassing female students or loose their jobs immediately.
Nigerians would blame girls for going to visit male friends if they get raped even if they explicitly say they don't want s*x.
Ridiculous one sided biased law... And this is coming from me who does not dress in their words .... Indecently.
They don't have a right to police their dressing to this extent

  15. Hahahahahaha. ..Thanks God I'm done with Uni. .Can't imagine myself doing this 😅😅😅😅😅

  16. It's normal dressing code that they were told to adhere to, I expected to see a memo instructing them to wear a particular colour and style of clothes based on departments. It's nothing compared to my alma mater UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA NSUKKA, ENUGU CAMPUS that instructed FABSA to wear sky blue and black, LAWSA wore white and black while the doctors and nurses wore white robe. It helped though because indecent dressing was brought to the barest minimum though some stubborn girls still had on extremely tight and shorts skirts. I miss my UNEC days!!

  18. LASU main campus is doing same. The other day, I wore jeggins, went there to use one of the ATMs, hmmmm! Upon say I no be student ooo, na so security bounce me back for their gate, reason: indecent dressing. I kukuma divert to Ojo Alaba go find ATM. It's a welcome idea if you ask me.

    1. It was like that during my time there. The security men at the gate would even seize bangles if you're wearing one. I actually loved the dress code thingy. I think they need to introduce it to Uniben. Their students can wear rag all in the name of fashion

    2. Queen, abeg leave uniben alone before stella comes for u. But seriously, they can wear rubbish sha. Lol

    3. They did.

Queen, you're right. UNIBEN really needs it. Their girls can wear tank top go class ehn.

Benin girls generally no sabi dress.

  21. Teeeheeheee, this is still better than Unilorin's Own nah. Faculty of Business management students have uniforms for their various department. Peach and black, Blue and black, Purple and black, cream and black. Lmfaaaaaaooooo

  22. There is no big deal here. Have you seen what some of these students actually wear? I don't find this strange in the least. Law started the black and white dress code while I was in Unilag so we were used to it. Even Friday when you could wear what you like, no one needed to he told to dress decently..
There's no big deal here. If the students cannot differentiate between appropriate dressing for school and wear their Friday night clothes to school then there should be a dress code.

  24. The dress code has always been there only that the enforcement was not strong. When I was there we were not allowed to wear sleeveless into the Senate building.

Seeing your caption, I thought that they are being made to sew school uniforms.

Students should dress responsibly and not look like artistes and entertainers. Nice one.
