Word For The Day- SAVE THE REMNANTS.

I am sure you are Familiar with this story....

51; Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled.
52; FOR THEY HAD NOT UNDERSTOOD ABOUT THE LOAVES, FOR THEIR HEART WAS HARDDENED!
Mark 6:51-52.

My assignment is in the 52nd chapter! Virtually everyone of us grew up hearing about this story.
"Jesus fed the five thousand people!"

My intense inquisitiveness had me pondering over that event, and so I studied deeper and thus, came up with other discoveries afiliated to that event.

The truth about life is; in spite of all the smiles we put up, we all are going through something!
Jesus did not tell us that 'as a child of God, you will NOT go through stuff! So, going through stuff is natural! Infact trials, temptations and trouble are all signs that we are alive. For only the living can feel pains!

But what do you do when life's storm overwhelmingly precipitates so hard on you? Don't let anyone talk you into believing that being a child of God means you will not go through toughness. Jesus remains the First Born of the Father, yet He went to the cross.

The cross, any day anytime, is NEVER a funny experience! The bible reveals that when Jesus perceived that the hour had come, He withdrew Himself to pray. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed till His sweat dropped like blood. ''Father, if it be Your will, let this cup pass over me.....'' Jesus was troubled in His spirit, He was in agony!

If God allowed Jesus to go through such toughness while on earth, then we all are no exemption to trials and tough times too.

Now, to our text. Jesus had just fed a multitude, and told His disciples to GATHER THE REMNANTS. Theologians opine that the reason Jesus told them so was because He did not want to encourage waste! But look at this;

After that event occurred, Jesus told His disciples to board a boat and travel(offshore) to the other side, while He went to pray! Verse 52 of our text tells us that while the disciples went, at the 'fourth watch' which is about 3am wee hours, a terrible storm arose. They pannicked, trembled with fear and thus, THEY DID NOT CONSIDER THE MIRACLE THAT JESUS HAD JUST PERFORMED A WHILE AGO!

I want you to pause for a moment and think. ask yourself this; "Is there any miracle God did in my life in the past?" It could be surviving a ghastly motor accident, it could be surviving a major surgery, it could be escaping assassination, etc., God wants you to store those miracles permanently in your heart and use them as a reference point. Whenever you are going through trials in life remember those miracles often and tell yourself "If God could bring me out of that, then HE WILL SURELY BRING ME OUT OF THIS!

Your past experience are meant to toughen you up against any blizzard life may throw at you in the future! No wonder most of the miracles God performed with the Israelites, He told them to document it, and let it transcend to their children and their children's children(Joel 1:3).

The Storm may blow many things away from you, but it can't blow God away from you(Deut 31:6).
For the storm to defeat you, it has to defeat the other passage in your boat! The other passage is He who will not leave you alone nor forsake you(God).

Jesus said, be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. He will not overcome the world, HE HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD for you and I.

That trouble did not come to stay, it certainly to pass.

I have been dialing your line for years now... Please daddy pick my call... Your number seems very busy.. Please sir, cut the next call and pick mine.

... Wish I can talk, as usual tears would not allow me.... Yes I believe... The problem has not come to stay.

  26. In 1785 Thomas Jefferson wrote: Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What hae been the effect of coercion? To make one half of the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support error and roguery all over the earth.
    Copied.
If I talk nah religious fundamentalists will start saying Atheist 2 don come again, make I just pretend with my 😄 😳😳
