EFCC Arrests Former. President Jonathan’s godson Over N2bn Ppayment

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a godson of former President Goodluck Jonathan for allegedly stealing N2bn from the Niger Delta Development Commission.

The EFCC said it traced deposits of N2bn paid into his bank accounts.

According to the commission, the suspect, Mr. George Turnah, who is also a former Special Adviser to Mr. Dan Abia, the erstwhile Managing Director of the NDDC, was arrested by the Port Harcourt office of the commission.

The anti-graft agency said it had searched Turnah’s houses in Yenagoa and Port Harcourt and found some incriminating documents.

The EFCC said, “He was arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in connection with alleged possession of funds running into N2bn, suspected to be funds siphoned from the NDDC while serving there as an adviser. Turnah, widely believed to be a godson of former President Goodluck Jonathan, served in the NDDC between 2012 and 2015.

    1. All they did was steal and steal and steal. Life seemed easier then because the policies in place were in favour of looting and the looted funds were in circulation.
The funds looted under that administration runs into multi-trillions of naira (excepting hard currency) and would have taken Nigeria a step further...but no, Government is seen as a source of making easy money because these folks are to lazy to work after their term expires and this propelled them to loot so much.

    5. What school is that? Because I know it's mandatory in almost if not all Nigerian universities to pay acceptance fee and school fees before you resume school otherwise you won't be allowed to do registration and online course registration. So, how did you maneuver your way up to this point?
      GOD BLESS NIGERIA
