End Time Neighbour...

A 32-year-old woman, Yemisi Adewuyi, on Monday appeared
before an Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court for allegedly removing her neighbour’s teeth with a plank.

The accused, who resides on Rufai Lugboso Street, Sabo, Abeokuta, is facing a count charge of unlawful assault. According to the prosecutor, Insp. Famous Edigbue, the accused hit Mr Umaru Suliamon with the plank for stepping on her sleeping child.

Edigbue submitted that the incident occurred on March 4 at 10:00 p.m. at their residence. He said that Suliamon mistakenly stepped on the child who was sleeping on the floor in the veranda and that the accused’s reaction led to a fight between the two. He said that during the fight, the accused hit Suliamon with a plank on his upper lip, causing two of his teeth to fall off in addition to injuring him on the lip.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 355 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty. The Magistrate, Mr Aliu Soneye, granted her bail in the sum of
N100,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till April 13 for further hearing. (NAN).

  3. Well, aside from the fact the it's an assault, which should not be encouraged under any guise, I like it when women stand up to men to defend themselves.

    Sorry Mr sulaimon.

Around 10pm, most likely no light, please what was a child doing sleeping in the verandah? I believe the mistakenly part, the fight probably occurred due to the man's insensitive reaction at being confronted by the mother of the child. Also, those kinda houses, I can bet you Linda's left breast that there was preexisting friction.

  19. Why would he step on her sleeping child? Stupid man? He is so shameless a woman beat you up to the extent of removing your two teeth, you should hide in shame. If the baby was yours would you step on the poor baby. But anger is terrible thing look the way she turned his lips to cow tail kpomo in a fresh stew

    1. Na wa for you o! you didn't see where it's written "mistakenly stepped on" why the hash words? Both of them should be blamed for not handling the issue amicably, now look where it landed them, one losing two teeth and in pain while the other losing money and going thru the wahala of court case.

  21. Abeeg... All these reported new get as e dey be. Only those around them can know what truly happened. The man might have intentionally stepped on the kid due to a beef or fight previously between them. Accumulated anger and provocation, but she shouldn't have resulted to violence. I bet many mothers will do same here to protect their kids. It's not easy.
