Labour Room Drama 170

lol...

Hello Stella,

I think my labour room drama should be tagged THEATRE ROOM DRAMA. Because that was where all my drama happened. Ok back to my gist.

I got pregnant 3months after my wedding. Infact the pregnancy was free of drama and any complications. I threw up like about only 5 times during my 9 months journey and i had none of those weird cravings. I got very fair that my colleagues thought i was bleaching. Until my bump started showing.

Fast forward to my 38th week. It was my ante natal appointment. That Saturday i had that morning s3x with hubby b4 going to cook. I made moi moi and had it with custard. Feeling very strong and active. My driver drove me to the hospital.

My hospital was in Victoria island and i live in lekki but the traffic at the toll was massive. So by the time we got to the hospital i was pretty tired. Now there came my trouble. My BP was checked and the nurse said 'ah madam ur BP is high oh. In my mind I was like young girl like me (am 25yrs) how my BP wan take high.mstcheeew. so i said nothing to her and acted like i didnt even hear her.

So i got in to see the doctor and that was how the doctor said he cant let me go home. I need to be admitted. That was when i knew it was serious. I called my husband and told him to come oh. This people said my bp is high and i can't go home. I was crying already.

Finally i was admitted and fetal heart beat and my BP monitored. I was connected to all sorts of machine. My mum was already calling every hour and raining prayers over the phone. Ok Sunday came and the BP keep going higher and higher upon my bed rest oh. The doctor said he will have to do a CS to save my life and that of my baby.

Meanwhile while all this was happening i was feeling okay and very strong. Infact my husband ordered pizza and ice cream and i was eating away on my hospital bed.

So the doctor said its their policy to always give a woman the chance of normal delivery unless it fails before they will proceed with the CS. They started the induction by 6am Monday morning.the first tablet was inserted. Funny enough that was when I feel asleep because i didn't sleep well the night b4.

I was thinking of the whole CS and delivery thingy . The matron came and saw me sleeping she shouted. Jesus Christ i never see where person dey sleep like this for labour ward oh. So she called the doctor and he inserted another tablet. Yet my cervix was not opening but i was having strong contractions. After 12hours in the labour room. I was moved to the theatre. By then i was already very tired and thirsty. Then they started introducing themselves. They where 1 pedestrian,2 gynaecologists,2 anaesthetic doctors, 3 nurses and a student doctor. In my mind i was like all this people for one person. The took turns to explain their role in my delivery and how they can help me. Now the doctor that was to give me the epidural kept pricking me and was not getting the right spot.

That was how i jumped up from the bed angrily removed everything they had put on me. And told them Am not doing again that i want to go home and come back tomorrow.

Na so begging start. They called my mum and husband in to the theatre. I was crying profusely that am tired and am not doing again. My husband started begging and calling me all the sweet names he ever knew. That was where he promised to get me the iphone 7.

After so much pleading and talks from my doctors and husband. I agreed to lie down back.
Now after the first dose of the epidural injection. It didnt dumb me totally. Then the doctor now wanted to start i felt a little pain and i started shouting "doctor wait oh! I can still feel pain oh. So he stopped they pulled me up because by then i couldn't move my legs and I was now given a second dose.

And b4 i could say jack my baby was out and placed on my chest for some seconds b4 they took her away. The sound of her cry brought tears to me again. We where discharged 4 days after. And huuby has fulfilled his promise.

When ever i look at my baby girl i see what true love is.
Btw i have now made up my mind to use CS for all my kids.
No time for unnecessary drama when you can avoid it. As i write my CS scar is as good as gone and this is just 2 weeks post natal.

*Hhehehehehe Congrats on your baby and the iPhone...LMAO!!!
