  8. Preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that the man, said to be medical doctor named Orji who was said to be driven by his driver and suddenly ordered the driver to pull over, dropped from the car after receiving a phone call and suddenly jumped into the water from the bridge.
“The vehicle and the driver have been taken to Adeniji Adele Police Station for further investigation, while effort is on going to recover his body from the Lagoon,” he said.

People are really fraustrated I tell you. A medical doc for that matter. What could have pushed him to do this. Suicide never used to happen in naija before. It is well, I won't condemn him, who knows what another person near you is going through silently. And men are used to holding in their emotions.
Pls no one shld curse the poor man.feel pity for him and family he left behind.

    1. Beds & roses, The story says he got a call before this happened. Maybe Buhari called him, mtcheeew. To think that queen and boss made a mistake of typing *v* for *b* and all you copy cats think it's an innovative way of calling your president. Why can't you even coin your own words? Anyway when you have a husband who stands on 3rd mainland bridge to capture videos why won't you blame Buhari for hard times, tell him to get a better job. And what's with *medical doctor for that matter*, does a profession exempt one from life's challenges? Nne get busy and stop displaying folly on the net.

    2. Anon u are blessed. Instead of talking about the situation at hand, they will start looking for who to blame. Na buhari ask the driver to stop?????? Na him push am for lagoon????? Let's stop all this blame game. It's not making sense. Depression is for real. May God help us all.

  32. Heard the person is a medical doctor and was returning from church.

People need to understand that mental health( depression) is no-respective of status.

Some people have chemical imbalances ... the brain produces happy hormones.
Some people don't have sufficient ones
So what should naturally make Mr A happy will take longer time for mr b to reach that mood.

And stop telling those fighting depression to
Snap out of it... you think it's easy????
You think they have control over the brains insufficiency.

I have a medical doc friend who is on antidepressants and has had suicidal thoughts.

Mental health is real and people should say positive words to those suffering from it.
    Be supportive

Stella it's true. It happened exactly around 4pm today on the third mainland bridge. My car was coming behind the man's jeep. Though few distance away but we saw the jeep park and all of a sudden, a man got down from the jeep and jumped into the water. We were shocked. We couldn't believe it. So we quickly parked our car. A man also came out of the jeep shouting " my oga. Na my oga ooo. He say make I park say e wan piss. I park and the next thing I hear is gbam my oga jump inside water".
Stella other vehicles parked to see what was going on. I looked into the water to see if I could see his body or if it was a joke but all I saw was his beautiful sport shoes floating. I wept. I looked around again to see if it was a movie being shoot but there were no cameras around. It was real!
He is (was) a medical doctor. He is single according to the driver. The driver called his mom to inform her of what happened.
I couldn't have dinner. I still wish it was a joke. I'm in a sad mood now. The shock is still in me. I've never seen something like this before. This is the first time in my life I will go close to the bridge even to look at the water.
I don't know, I just wished it never happened.

He has attempted suicide on several occasions that's while he has a driver attached to me to watch over him when he his away from home. unfortunately his driver was just changed to this current driver who doesn't know much compared to the old driver. He told the driver he wanted to pee and the mumu driver stopped. Rip doctor. Tatafo special

  57. Just yesterday I saw a well dressed young man lying on the road with some books by his side, I thought it was a hit and run accident. I witness some men alight their vehicle to assist him. This was about 11:00am. On my way home, I saw the same young man, now on my street, several miles away from the first time, on the main road again, this time he was sitting and reading a book, a bottle of water by his side. He had several books on the floor. This was about 7:39pm same day. He was using the street light to see. He just seemed at home. This happened in Benin. Don't know what happened to him. Depression?
