A middle-aged man and his teenage son have died inside a well they were digging at Gidan-Filani village in Sokoto State, Punch reports.
The victims, Malam Umar, and his son, Abubakar, lost their lives
on March 15, 2016.
According to eyewitnesses, the pair had dug the well up to nine feet when one side of the well collapsed on Abubakar, who was inside the well at the time.
A panicking Umar jumped into the well in an attempt to save his
son's life but none of them came out alive. The bodies of the deceased who hailed from Lokobi village have been buried.
