Word For Today -''Tell it not in Gath...''

And David lamented .........

"It is disheartening for the Spirit of God when His own children takes to the media to publish the weakness, scandal of their own, especially His servants. It doesn't matter if a wrong has been committed. When Saul died Shamefully, regardless of how he treated David , the Spirit spoke through him how we should be guided in such situation.

1Samuel 1:17-20
*And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son: The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.*

How spiritually unintelligent and contrary we behaved these days, we are quick to share links and pages of the slain mighty , some true and some untrue to get likes and views seeking human validation and attention at the expense of the Spirit.

We must learn to discern the Lords Body. We are one body, the failure of a part brings pain to other areas of the body. Failure to discern the Lords body brings weakness, sickness and death to some members of the body.

The emphasis is this : *Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.*‎"

Pastor J.T Kalejaiye

  1. How about us pastors acting in ways that won't have to be told in gath? Lest the daughters of the philistines and uncircumcised have something to rejoice and triumph over??

My mum was saying the same thing on Saturday and I got so pissed off. I'm not here saying Stephanie is right or pastor suleiman is wrong; all I'm saying is:
    1. He might be guilty. We don't know. If he is he should find a way to shut her up lest she continues this parade. And go and settle with his God. The church will forgive him just the way they forgave COZA man.

    2. If he isn't guilty he should give us one story line and admit that there were loopholes in his communication with her which he is cautioning himself against for future occurrences.

We can't be preaching the gospel on the rooftop and choking everyone with our Christian vibes. And when there's a problem you say we should hide it and deal with it privately. Don't let people hear. This and that.... how about we start listening to the Holy Spirit so these scandals stop coming up here and there?

Have you ever heard oyedepo or adeboye in women scandal? Even Tunde bakare with all his stubbornness and political stings was never affliliated to any of such scandals. It's either pastor needs to retrace his steps back to God or he needs to caution the way he throws himself at female members that put him in a non-vulnerable position.

They say we should not judge, now they say we should not ask questions. Unto wetin??

    2. Thank you for summing it up nicely.
Lust of the eyes and the pride of life is what is responsible for all this nonsense with pastors nowadays.

I see that everyone, including Pastor Kalejaiye believes Apostle Suyaman actually ate the suya.

He should promise a robust reply and then fade away.

    That's all.

  7. It doesn't matter if a wrong has been committed...hmmm
Also remember that Nathan rebuked David when he sin and he was remorseful but Pastor why can't our now-a-days Pastors admit their wrongs?

  8. God bless u pastor kalejaiye.this was exactly my thought dis morning. Christianity has become a joke in the eyes of some Christians who are ever ready to be the first to go on d street to call others to come and see their pastor in shame. What a world we live in now!

  9. People just pick bible verses that suits them in every situations. Pastors will pray and preach about living a life free of sin, but when the scandal hits them they say "judge not less you be judge". How many christains here everyday judge? From chronicles to anonymous post or from comments made by well known bvs. But because there's a pastor title all of you remember bible passage. If the case was between a common man hian you'll see women here calling for his head but because na pastor na. Same way one girl on IG dey rant about how a pastor and his workers shielded a rapist after she reported he raped her. We should see that one now and turn blind eye because na church. That girl sef mumu cos she was hoping the church will bring justice rather than go to police report the matter and lock him but because she was the people that carry pastor and church matter for head she couldn't get her justice. My own is form your own relationship with God and stop dashing pastors your brain, live your life and own up to it.
