    3. In my humble opinion, I think the people that really deserve this church money are the missionaries out there in restive zones and outbacks propagating the gospel of Christ. Why don't we ever hear about them and their numerous sacrifices. Salvation army and the likes of them. They aren't flying first class and private jets neither are they living luxuriously. Imagine what the missionaries in the middle East suffer, just to give our Christian brethren over there hope and remind them that God loves them. God help us.

All this 'Men of God' be making ppl loose thier trust in tithes and offerings.

That's why it's even better identifying the needy ones around you and give them.

You will still receive your blessing attached to giving

    1. Way to go!

I don't pay tithe to church and God has been blessing me tremendously! What I do is this; I look for the needy/less privilege around and give them the tithe money to establish them in business, learn a trade or buy an equipment that can empower them.

I don't need no acclaimed man of God to tell me how to worship or praise Him, I cry to my God and He hears me.

      Delete
    2. My son once ask me wat is offering money use for 🙊🙊my 👄 was wide open I jejely replied him that the money is use for helping the less privileged ! If I may ask apart from church maintainace and helping prostitute that are jejely doing their job PLEASE what's the money really use for?

    3. Be wise. Allow God judge and punish them if they spend the tithes and offerings wrongly. We cannot use that as an excuse. At least we still pay tax even if we dont enjoy the basic amenities like good roads and health care that our tax payment should provide. But you wont go to your employer and tell them to stop deducting your tax.

    1. The drama series keeps getting messier. The only person I feel for is Mrs Lizzy, Apostle's wife. So much for a woman to bear.

It took one careless comment "if you see any Fulani herdsman around you, KILL him" to nail the Man of God. They warned him to stop talking and he wouldn't listen, now see. Sponsored mudslinging as a media war by deep pockets, from the corridors of power. Check out the way Mr Eustace Barge ( in the series 'Courage the Cowardly Dog') and his cronies are throwing up evidence and exhibits from different victims and corners.

Can the Apostle accept some of his undoings(yes, he did some) and pay this crazy Stephanie Otobo off, settle out of court and end this nightmare? It is sickening and bad for the Christendom. Jeez!

Biko let me come and be going. Tomorrow is monday.

    2. Let me tell you something and all of you giving outside the house of God! Your tithe is a seed and as a seed should be sown. When sow a seed you harvest plenty take for instance corn. In sowing a seed you must consider the soil.. if you sow on a fertile ground your returns will be many just like if u sow on a bad soil. You should not sow ur seed anywhere anyhow.. if u give the widow the less privilege who does not serve God you will harvest from the person's coven.. if you give to a widow who belong to a witchcraft you will harvest from the temple which you have sown or nothing at all just as also when you give to marine pastors occultic pastor's and native doctors pastors.. If you can find a TRUE man of GOD true ministry or anyone serving GOD righteously n sow into them my dear the reward hmmmm i no fit talk. I'm witness! Be careful who you give ur seeds to.. These things are spiritual principles n TITHE is different from giving.. Give whoever u wanna give. Sow your seed(tithe) carefully!!

  15. For me, for years I gave my tithe to a "needy station" that was set up inside the church. My hard earned money when I worked for 20k a month in 2009. I believed the money was going to those who really needed it. Till I heard a church worker had been religiously EMPTYING the St Vincent DePaul box!! FOR YEARS!!! He was caught in the act, yet still allowed to work in the church. I cried that day.

Now, I always give my tithe to the orphanages & the needy homes for children. I pray over it, use it to buy the items they need and give. Hopefully they're not being stolen and taken home by the caretakers. Relationship NOT Religion. We all have a direct line to God through his son, Jesus. Open your ears and listen to his voice yourself.

One of the commandment Jesus was so passionate about was "love your neighbour as you love yourself".If you want to give to God give to the poor to those who need it, where you know your money is going.God is omnipresent so it is not only in church that God exist.Go to the orphanages, buy sugar, indomie and bread give to them. You people should stop being ignorant, enough of this. Why is Africa so backward and where whites don't even know about God still progress.Rich people abroad give to communities, to social services, to single mothers,to education and you are here claiming saint because you want to be blessed by giving tithes, funny enough it is the only thing christians respect with their blood but ignore any other commandment because most christians are hypocrites, they give tithes because they expect a reward that is why they like God said Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing etc..

Guess what when God sacrificed his only son Jesus, and Jesus said to for I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, 36I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink?… Well listen, there is nothing wrong in giving offerings in church or tithes but this need to be with freewill and also make sure you have attended to the person close to you who also need your blessings. There are too many fake prophets out there who use the little you give for their selfish interests and this is a fact! I'am not saying he is guity or not only God almighty knows the truth. But I believe there are strong powers involve in this issue and they paid heavily to group of jobless youths to comment on this issue news papers and blogs so to convice and put in more hatred in the hearts of christains towards this man and that is number one step towards weaken and destroying the body of christ. 37. I was thinking same thing today. It's not easy....... But I still put my usual offering.
Since the beginning of this year though I have been feeling so bad because I havnt been able to give thithe. Even though this yr I promised myself to give thithe always.
Expenses are piled on me, I have this or that bill to pay every month. I still have rent I save monthly, which is coming up soon.I can hardly save anything and I still need to help my mum from this same salary. So is it right I help my poor mother that raised me alone after my father died or do I pay thithe.
As I was contemplating my mind on paying thithe, the pastor started talking of building a teenage church. Said we can take the account number down towards the building. The question is they already use a big room in the church premises for the teenagers. Must they build a separate structure for them?
We are supposed to contribute to a church that has so much. When some of us our parents are struggling to build one bungalow and we can't even help them.
The way Nigerian churches go on and on about donations is something else. the followers keep getting poorer and the pastors keep getting richer.
Imagine the money suleiman is spending on these women. And some of his members earning 18k still paying their tithe to him unfailingly.

  44. The truth is, as much as it's Gods commandment that we bring all tithes and offerings to his house, I don't blame those who don't. This is because of the way some of these monies are misappropriated by churches. And the way its lavished. The Bible says if your actions cause your brother to sin, address it or you would not be working in love anymore (Rom 14:15, 1Cor.8:13). If our pastors are living life in such a way that it's beginning to create doubts in the hearts of members then there's a need for us to retrace our steps and start being accountable with church funds and using such funds for what they're meant for.

In my church we do a quarterly review of church accounts. And it's read before the whole church. Whoever wants to stay for the meeting stays. Our pastor runs his businesses so he doesn't even depend on church money. He will tell you he doesn't need a salary because He's doing the work of God not man. And for this reason(s) I'm encouraged to give. If I were in some churches maybe I'd do what this lady on fb did because of the stories I hear. We as a church need to be accountable especially financially. In the early church funds were pooled together and used to help the needy. We obviously may not be able to operate under such policies in modern times; but there is a real need for transparency to kill all doubts

  48. ON TITHES TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED

    YES, YES! YES! YOU CAN GIVE IT; I have been practicing and preaching it for years and that is the word of God. PASTORS WILL NOT WANT YOU TO SEE THESE SCRIPTURES, THEY ONLY QUOTE MALACHI; SEE;THIS IS WHERE THE LAW OF TITHES WAS INSTRUCTED;

DEUT. 14:28“At the end of every third year, bring the entire tithe of that year’s harvest and store it in the nearest town. 29Give it to the Levites, who will receive no allotment of land among you, as well as to the foreigners living among you, the orphans, and the widows in your towns, so they can eat and be satisfied. Then the LORD your God will bless you in all your work.
DEUT. 26:12 When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.
    IT WAS PRACTICED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT; THE WIDOWS RECEIVED A DAILY DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD;

Acts 6:1 But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food.
1 Timothy 5:9A widow who is put on the list for support must be a woman who is at least sixty years old and was faithful to her husband.c 10She must be well respected by everyone because of the good she has done. Has she brought up her children well? Has she been kind to strangers and served other believers humbly?d Has she helped those who are in trouble? Has she always been ready to do good?
DOES YOUR PASTOR/CHURCH HAVE A LIST OF WIDOWS THAT THEY SUPPORT OR IS HE EMBEZZLING THE TITHES?
    James 1:27(NIV)
27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

  49. tithes and hypocrisy

I do like to enter the church in my city to pray during the day; especially on the days that I am off duty. Each time I entered the catholic church (I am not a catholic; I am without denomination), not only do I pray well without "harassment" but sometimes, I will be there for 2 hours and by the time I am about to leave, some of the people I met there are not in any way preparing to leave. I am usually challenged by these people. Several time, I had stopped by the "mega churches" (Redeemed for e.g.) to pray, they looked at me like I've come to steal, most of their parishes are under lock and key. is it only the orthodox churches that are "house of prayer"?
Really I have learnt to do house fellowships to learn the scriptures with other like minded Christians and have not gone or needed any of these churches in the last 5 years. I grow very well in the Lord and we do go online (social media)/prisons for evangelism. If you are a Christian who do not pray and fast and study your bible, very soon, every wind of doctrine will ferry you!
Again, why is every girl (especially fair ones) that go to these "mega churches" put on "deliverance for 21 days"? Did Christ or his disciples do that. One of the teenage girls on my street after being put through such "deliverance' was also "put in the family way". The worst is that she does not know the father of her child because multiple "deliverance ministers" had her. Thank God she got saved during her pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby boy. Or should I talk about the "Rev. Fathers" that browse the girls in their congregations.
For those of you who would "rattle" about tithing; I pay it very well to strangers (prisoners and street kids rehabilitation), widows, orphans, and some missionaries (who of course have no other means of livelihood); if you care to, you can read the scriptures; Deut. 14:28, 26:12, practiced in the NT; Acts 6:1-6, 1 Tim. 5:9, James 1:27. A lot of you will be surprised that I did not start my quotation from Malachi 3. the point is that "God's house has become as spiritual house (1 Pet. 2:5-9). By God's grace, I've taken many kids off the street, enabled widows begin small scale businesses, helped missionaries out of poverty etc. and I am not lacking in the blessings" from the Lord. I feel more fulfilled.

    1. You people should try and be lying small small or stop generalizing. The winners close to my house, where I attend occasionally is always open for you to come pray.

And I've never gone to any church and they put me on 21 days deliverance (when it's not cele)

I think those ladies that go for deliverance and get touched brought it upon themselves. I can categorically tell you, I have never attached myself to any pastor. When I go to church, I sit in the church, do my normal worship and leave.

How can a grown ass lady get groped, and eventually sexed because of deliverance and she can't tell it's wrong. Is that not stupidity.

The slap that I will sound any pastor that tries that with me ehn

    2. Tithe is just tithe. Ordinary sunday offering and thanksgiving that comes to 3 or four donation per service can cater to bills let's be real. Not to mention separate donation or harvest or launching for one thing or the other. If 50 percent of nigerians should pay thier tithe to people in need around them, the country will be in a better place. Thise hungry will be able to ask thier neihhbour for small 50k to start business. Pastors will not get so much that they are tempted to buy private jets and expensive shoes and carry women. Money is the root of evil if u don't know.

  57. Obviously people are just focusing on demonic apostle suleman now, forgetting that he's an angel when compared to all those nigerian catholic priests sexually, spiritually & psychologically abusing orphans & widows.
The systematic & wreckless abuse perpetuated by Nigerian Catholic priests will shake the world if revealed in details & documented like this one now. All you need is just one calculating b1tch to " hustle the hustler" (nigerian priest) and underneath the holy father's long white gown will reveal a very dirty sh1t full ass & randy blokos that deserves to be hung from a tree!

All Catholic priests are not evil, just like all Pentecostal pastors are not evil...you will always have bad eggs among them...since people have been informed about these unfortunate happenings, its up to parents to educate their kids and teach them that nobody has the right to Abuse them..my boys are so aware of this and can never fall victim by God's grace and guess what?? We are Catholics....

Please read your bible well. Worship God and not man. Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. Look not to man. Let the word of God be your guide. Leave the men of God for God to judge and look well to where you are going and what the Lord requires of you. Stay blessed.
