The enforcement was confirmed when officials of the Environmental Sanitation Corps Agency (LASERCORPS) arrested 6 motorists at Ikeja along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway for allegedly buying goods in traffic. Also four passengers and nine hawkers were arrested during the operation.
On Friday being April 7, 2017. They were accused of breaching the environmental law and brought before a magistrate court, Mr Olayiwola Ogundare Of the Igba Magistrate's Court sentenced them to three months imprisonment each. However, the magistrate gave the accused the option of N10,000 Fine each, adding that the motorists should pay additional N20,000 Fine into the state coffers.

It's fun but not beautiful for the mega Lagos but my fear is the hunger coming the way of those they are stopping from Hawking.

I will suggest that instead of stopping this hawking that takes place in the evening, Lagos residents should be warned not to throw dirty like gala wrap and lacasera bottles on the road. When you finish eating and drinking take home with you and empty in your waste bin.
That has been implemented years back, but trust Nigerians to break the rule. Remember when waste baskets were seen in buses and taxis, it didn't work out.
