Man Who Handcuffed Wife To Generator Overnight Has Been Arrested..

A 37-year-old man was recently arrested for beating and handcuffing his wife to a generator from night till the following morning.

The man identified as Ifeanyi Ajaero, had handcuffed his wife, 28-year-old Obiageli, to a power generating set, after seriously battering her.

According to the Ogun state police command, Obiageli had been beaten and handcuffed to the generator, from the night of Friday, April 14, to the morning of Saturday, April 15.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun state police public relations officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the incident occurred somewhere in Ewooluwo, in Sagamu.

Oyeyemi said the victim's neighbours had alerted the police about the incident, after witnessing several beatings meted out by her husband. The police immediately arrived at the scene where they rescued Obiageli and arrested Ifeanyi who claimed that he did what he did in self-defence.

Describing the action as an act of wickedness, the state commissioner of police, Ahmed Iliyasu, ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Anti- Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the state investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.

  1. Lord!
    Obiageli, my namesake.
One of the most beautiful Igbo names.

Jesus didn't die and rise today for you to be chained to a gen set.

    Obiageli's don't marry poor men.
    The name is explanatory enough

You are to enjoy your entire life till you die.

    This is not it!

That foolish goat should be arrested for attempted murder by monoxide inhalation.

Why on earth would you remain married to a woman you feel unsafe to be with to the point of chaining her at night. And the woman still continued living in that house and cooking his meals, rat poison done finish for market?
BTW I was thinking the man chained her to lister generator sef she should have freed herself through some means now. Ordinary Small tiger gen that some girls are using as pendant in benin

I blame her for sitting there and recieving all the beatings that he got bored so he had to now include handcuffs to spicen things up for himself

I hope she tells the police the Gen was switched on so the offence can be upgraded to attempted murder. The man needs to be taught a lesson.

Parents train your girl child and stop allowing a man to do your responsibility.

    1. No...oh!
Nigerian culture groom girls to be sheltered. And always need a man for validation & to be accepted.
A single woman is stigmatized by the nigerians. The idea of woman independence is a joke & totally unimaginable in their culture.

Una go dey beg, dey endure (physical & spiritual) beatings & many of you nigerian girls & women will continue to die young mysteriously & nobody cares about what led to your untimely deaths.
      Ntoor!
