Omoni Oboli Makes History As Okafor’s Law’ Continually Sells Out Everyday Since Cinema Debut

Omoni Oboli’s ‘Okafor’s Law’ has continued to maintain No. 1 spot since it made its cinema debut on March 31st, as the movie ticket has consistently sold out at different cinemas across the country.

The romantic comedy movie since its debut has consistently sold out every day at different times in different cinemas across the country. People, in large numbers, have been flooding the cinemas daily to watch the latest nollywood flick and they have all come out with smiles and good testimonies concerning the movie.

Reacting to the turnouts of people at the cinemas to watch the movie, Producer and Director of Okafor’s law, Omoni Oboli said “Actors in Okafor’s law have been visiting the cinemas at different locations, and we have all been surprised at the reception from fans all over the country. Truth be told, the tickets have been sold out everywhere we went, and we just want this to continue for as long as possible. I am grateful to God for His blessings.” The movie is showing at different cinemas in Lagos, Kano, Ilorin, Benin, Uyo, Warri, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Asaba, Calabar, Ibadan, and Akure.

The movie which had previously been premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2016 and had screened in several international film festival after that including the recent Pan African Film Festival, LA is a romcom set in Lagos, Nigeria.

‘Okafor’s Law’ which is named after a sexist theory is a movie with social consciousness. It follows the story of a slick serial seducer, Chuks (Blossom Chukwujekwu), nicknamed Terminator, an “ardent player” who believes that once a man has been with a woman, he forever has access to her. When challenged by his friends to see if he can prove the universality of that stupid theory with three ex-girlfriends Ify (Ufuoma McDermott), Tomi (Toyin Abraham) and Ejiro (Omoni Oboli), whose lives have drastically changed. And this must be done within 21 days. This challenge of their various new statuses makes his quest to win the bet more and more insurmountable as he tries to prove the immortality of the long age law: Okafor’s Law.

The amazing talents that feature in the movie are Richard Mofe Damijo, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Ufuoma McDermott, Tina Mba, Toyin Abraham, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Yvonne Jegede, Halima Abubakar, Mary Lazarus, Uche Nnaji, Betty Irabor, Gabriel Afolayan, Ken Erics and Omoni herself, have consistently trend on all social media platforms.

The movie is doing great and is still showing at all the cinemas across the country. It is expected to continue to be a hit, maintain its No. 1 spot and eventually break another box office record.

    4. So yesterday I was off work, I was like I must see Okafor's law. I regretted! I have never seen an overhyped movie as that before, I kept telling myself it could have been a more productive day if you had slept at home.

Okafors law ni, okoro law kor.
Maybe it would have been manageable if not for the hype that drove my expectations to the roof top. Na real wawu!
She tried sha but the hype is too much mbok.

  7. I wonder how it is possible that every new nollywood movies always have the same story to say about tickets being sold out. This is becoming a old tactic to attract people to go watch a movie.

  9. Saw it before I traveled and it was just there. Genesis mall Maryland was packed full sha. Won't call it wasted money but I think it was sha overhyped.

Blossom, ever the natural actor or maybe I'm just biased cos I have a crush on him.

Didn't feel my other boo 'Ken Erics' much in the movie sha. Maybe cos he didn't play a very important role.

And then that Blossom's friend was really funny. Dunno his name but the guy killed his role.

My worst actress there was the one with the name 'Fifi'. Her acting was totally off to me.

Their ending was quite cheap. Didn't buy into all that.

Swag lafresh, the way u condemned the movie ehn, I was thinking I was going to regret watching it but I guess the few laughs I had made up for their lapses or I'm just simply biased because of blossom

  10. Omoni has a way of promoting her movies... She uses the social media tool to her advantage.
    I commend her for that.

I saw Wives on Strike this Holiday(I purposely didn't go out of my way to see it,knew they'd show it oneday anyways).. It wasn't all that, But I give her a 100percent for selling her business the right way.
Just the buzz alone will make you go find her movies.
IG isn't all about posting pictures and all,Sell your business online. It works.

More grease to her elbow. She is gradually getting there.

Chuks has two other frnds...both chuks...who he tells of a law that once uv banged a girl nd u dd it gud...u can do it anytym again in d future. They had to wager a bet for him to prove it and they picked out three of his ex grlfrnds...who now have different lives...for him to hit.
He was given three weeks to get all three girls to bed...one of whch is married...nd another a staunch born again.
The challenge was on...wt lots of twists nd den complications...but he eventually fell in love.

  13. Yes,i watched it yesterday,it was awesome.the characters were so nice, the way RMD forgave the wife(UFUMA) when she cheated with her Ex (BLOSSOM) got me thinking about today's Nigerian men that will just send their wife packing as soon as she is caught cheating.
Tina Mba,Blossom mum is a good actor.she interpreted her role so well.
RMD a strong waffi man that loves and guard the wife like an egg.
Omoni, aunty gwe gwe that refused to give up on Blossom even after using her to fulfill Okafor's law bet.

  15. Yes I have seen the movie, its bout three close friends,Blossom Chukwujekwu, Ken Eric and one other guy. Blossom is seen as a terminator who is good with fuck and on one of the times,he told them bout the law and they made a bet that if he sleeps with all three of his exes that he would take their percentage of his farm cos they do farm business together. The ladies were Ufuoma McDermott, omoni oboli and one other babe. He succeeded in sleeping with omoni and ufuoma, and ended up falling in love with the last babe cos she played hard to get. Only for omoni to find out and tell the last babe which they plan on a revenge. Meanwhile, Rmd,ufuoma's hubby,a rich and 'firmous' man, wen he found out bout him..tortured blossom till d point of death and was left to die. Finally, omoni came to his rescue n from there they got married... Mbok I don taya to type. I forgot to mention that he lost his farm to the bet.

  19. Why didn't you include that it's a sponsored post or is there a special rate for not saying so? The movie is thrash and no one is watching but Omoni is generating Buzz like it's hot stuff. Fellow bvs remember the post Stella did that despite court bbrouhaha the movie is selling? Truth it this is all part of publicity and nothing more. Same story featured on other blogs so it's a coordinated campaign not based on facts.
