Mercy Aigbe's Daughter Speaks on Cyber-Bullying

The Interviewer started by saying Michelle has ''two hundred and thousand followers..''...I honestly do not understand this interview at all.....It's a three minute interview, please watch and discuss!

Following the alleged brutal beating of her mum by her step-dad few weeks back which generated lot of harsh comments on social media, 16 year old Michelle, daughter of the embattled popular actress, Mercy Aigbe in a short interview with #BroadwayTV speaks on how this has affected her so bad that she feels pained reading her comment section ..

The young teenager says she's is too young for what she's made to go through...

  1. Her mother should be monitoring her instagram page. Does she know how many men are out there preying on young girls? Then also the mother didn't think of her daughter and son when she and her husband decided to start disgracing themselves on social media. I pity this girl cos human beings are mean. Nugerians are frustrated. They go to her page and cuss a teenager out cos of what they feel her mom did forgetting this might leave a permanent mental scar. Instagram has given options. Her mother should disable comments on her page

    4. I think Mercy should get her daughter a good English teacher who can teach the art of speaking coherently. I have a 13 year old who's English, sentence structure and use of grammar is similar to that of a well educated adult. The problem is not being on social media; I see a lot of comments on here slating Mercy for allowing her to be on social media -that's irrelevant. She's 16, and we live in a world where parents have to accept that this is now the norm, but at the same time device all sorts of ways to limit the time spent on social media, and ensure that we are aware of what our kids get up to, as much as we can.

The real problem is a 16 year old that can't construct a proper coherent sentence, looking upwards as if searching for the words and obviously not very self confident. Mercy, face your child.

    5. She's quite dull. Cannot even speak well and is not confident. See her voice. She's definitely on d wrong part with the kind of answers she's giving.

If in your house you breed you kids to ve a fake accent let it end in ur house. It's people like you that use 5 accent in a sentence. Let the girl be and train your child the way you want

Never heard of the girl. Maybe in ipaja, idimu or wherever they stay. Oh and her English is kinda somehow. Looking at mercy I guess they speak Yoruba at home so she's forgiven!!

    10. Anon 12:43 who is talking about accent here. Her spoken English is bad. Please how old is she? She cant even construct a simple sentence. What school does she attend? O my God

Mercy is busy posting things online and fighting her husband instead of her to make this girl better.
This should be a shame to mercy, you buy designer but your money no show for your pikin, is it lack of exposure or what?
Why was she snaking her lips after each sentences? That's unladylike.
I am Yoruba, this is really embarrassing.
Just that few minutes interview and you could see it all.
Mercy, let this girl be your priority and let go of the craziness you and your husband are displaying.

    3. Fab Mum who cares if your last born of 5 years is on instagram??? Is your family the standard to follow? A sensible mum will know that the world has evolved and there are to many dangers of letting your children mingle with all kinds of people in the name of social media. Do you monitor your 12 years old's phone to see his/her DMs? Are children supposed to be reading about Davido's baby mamas or all the immoral things you see on social media??? Point is make your children your frown and let them understand in a nice way that social media is for adults. Get them other nice things, give some good life such that they won't think they are missing out. Be wise otherwise the future generation will 'SPOIL' before primary 1. Is the 'cash me outside' girl your children's role model? So if you see a 10 year old pornstar making money will you also say it's okay for children to tow that path????

    4. Spot on.
That the world is revolving in negative ways doesnt require you following suit.
Please keep tabs on your kids!! Even adults are filtering what they do on social media...why bring kids into the whole drama, hate and negativity that goes on dere?
What truly do d kids miss when they are off social media??...what do You miss out on when you are off SM...

So?? How is my family standard your problem? You worry shouldn't be why her daughter is on Instagram. It should be some thing else. Maybe, why she isn't composed, why she can't construct perfect speech and what not but not why she is on social media.
Don't do her mothers Job.if the mother deemed it fit to allow her be on social media, then your opinion isn't needed. say something useful and stop looking for who to attack...
Whether a child is on Instagram or not, a child that is going to spoil is going to spoil. A child that is going to learn bad things will learn them irrespective of whether they are on Instagram or not

How many of the little kids in the rural areas are on Instagram? Yet we hear shocking details concentrating them

Amy Child can be on Instagram. The parents should just teach them moderation. Moderation is key. No one they should be on Instagram and when they should be with their books. What they should post and what they shouldn't.

    8. Fab Mum so asides from all the other more important things a Mum has to do, it's to keep tabs on her phone or her SM accounts right? Don't you think that's expending energy in a non profit venture? The time she would use to monitor what she does on SM she can get her English polished up by an English tutor. The spoilt children in the villages will spoil if they are not well taken care of, it doesn't justify exposing young minds to all the harm that abound on SM. SM is bad for children

    9. U shouldn't have fab mum as a name but bad mum instead...ghetto kids are not well trained cos they lack money to b well protected, to go to the best schools and grow in good neighborhoods...the fact remains that alot of people on social media today grew up a dysfunctional family or grew up in the streets and are now selling their perception to the world and just bcos they are a success, the growing ones deem it fit to follow their ways...that is what the devil is using to destroy this world... Someone like bobrisky that grew up in the village and went thru being a dirty faggot on the street somehow finds himself on the limelight and being promoted by this same social media, how do u think it will affect growing kids...will not get any internet access phone for my kids till they get to 18... Nobody is there to "monitor" her. Another cousin is in her final year in a university in the US. Uni that she started at 15+ and staying in the school hostel. When I read such comments as litters this post, I wonder how people think kids are being trained. Biko how old is the youngest Jerner(Kardashian)? How long has she been on the 'net? I didn't turn out badly, neither has my final-year-student cousin. Instead of focusing on the girl's age and instagram use, why not prefer solutions on how she can either avoid the bullying or how she can handle it like a few have done?
Mini-Mercy, I'd suggest you disable your comments and just post things to your heart's content. Ask your mum to help you work on your mannerisms and comportment. Don't let anyone belittle you and do not let anyone tell you that you're less of a person than you are. Work on yourself too to build self confidence maybe by quoting positive, confidence-boosting things to yourself in the mirror daily. You are not what society makes you but what you make yourself. Don't let anybody punish you for the alleged sins of your mother. Sarcasm can be a weapon

  46. I was a tad disappointed really, I don't expect her to speak queens English or have an American accent or what not but this video made me cringe. Maybe I expected too much from Mercy over her daughter mayb the slay-age up and down and glossyness over social mediaclouded my expectation of her but come on this video is somehow abeg
