Nearly all of them admitted that they regret, not the things they did, but the things they didn't do!
People don't choose dreams, dreams choose them. But often times, they lack the courage to challenge their limitations. So, they let it slip away! You have to get used to people not liking you. You must learn to fight for yourself! To achieve your dream, Some will believe in you, others wouldn't, and so what if they don't? Someone somewhere is waiting and depending on your dream to pull through life!
TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE TIED TO YOUR DREAM.
With what South Africa enjoys today, I wonder what they would have been without Nelson Mandela and his team? What will Isreal have been if not for Moses? What is the next generation going to benefit from the fact that you lived?
You know, I thought aeroplanes were too risky to fly in, till I learnt that planes are more dangerous to stay on the ground because they wear, rust and begin to malfunction much faster than having them in the air. So, airplanes were made to thrive in the air!
Everyone was made to live out the dream they have inside. And it will be a travesty to live and end your life on the ground without ever taking off! You see, though airplanes are risky to fly in, it still does not stop people from flying everyday! Risk is an inevitable part of life. But it is left for you to chose what type you want to take. Either the risk on the road to success or the pain on your death bed filled with regrets.
All it takes is Comittment, determination and the willingness to give your everything to that dream that chose you!
You may fall a thousand times on your way to achieving it, but who is even counting?
Though you cannot take back the hands of time to have a brand new start, you can begin to do something now to have a BRAND NEW END!

DeleteThose kids they award, they prepared very hard to be awarded the scholarship, Nelson Mandela and the rest of them didn't get the approval at first but you have to fight for your dream, you have to look beyond the limitation of the country. You have to start working yourself out before people will even look at you, there are still much persons who want to sponsor people's dream but they are rare to find. Bring yourself out first then they will locate you.
What are you saying? In the western world, will they give you money? The people that succeeded here in Nigeria, did anyone give them money? *In Wunmi's words* Go and work your stuff my friend!

DeleteI hope that the message find a good ear like seeds find fertile soil. I for one was born with physical limitations and I always wonder how ppl who are born with every sense perfectly intact and full mobility cannot achieve more? I know why I am where I am in life, but I really do not understand why so many others are where they are. I look at these ppl in their perfect bodies without any challenges, nothing to stop them in life and they cannot make a go of it. If you were born with all your senses intact, and have full mobility and good health you already won in the birth lottery, there is no reason for you not to succeed and accomplish your dreams. None!
