Exclusive Photos - Fire Guts General Diya’s Ikeja Residence

The Ikeja, Lagos residence of former Chief of General Staff, retired Lt. General Oladipo Diya, has been gutted by fire.


According to eye witness report,The fire started around 4:45pm on Saturday, and it has not been ascertained what caused it but eye witness report says it took 7hours to put out !!.. 

Commissioner of Police, Lasema boss, LRU boss and some senior military officers were present as fire fighters struggled to put out the fire.







No one was hurt but the damage was massive!

  3. Structural and property damage is extensive. Wow the house was razed down! Africa sef, no home insurance that will pay for the damage and even rehabilitate the family somewhere else for some time.

  14. Massive damage. The smoke was thick, real thick. Looks like it's arson because the whole structure was burning at the same time.
