Fani-Kayode blasts Osinbajo for not attending ECOWAS Heads of State meeting

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has lashed out at Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, for not attending the 51st ECOWAS Summit of Heads of State and Government, which took place on Saturday.

The summit was held in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in attendance.
Netanyahu is the first non-African leader invited to address the ECOWAS leaders.

There has been no official statement from Nigeria’s presidency, as to why the country was not represented at the meeting.

“It is wrong that @ProfOsinbajo did not attend the ECOWAS Heads of State meeting with @netanyahu today. Nigeria not there. Sad and shameful,” Fani-Kayode tweeted.

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo was, however, in attendance. It was not certain if he was there to represent Nigeria.

Nigeria should have been represented. After all we are tired of rumours, its high time a public statement is made on what's actually wrong with PMB

  9. No, on this one, FFK is not been a nuisance. This APC led federal government is placing narrow party interest above national interest. Osinbajo was absent not because of any reason other than the fact that Netanyahu would be present. Recall that Nigeria voted against Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory at the UN not so long ago.
Buhari and his APC government has decided to continue to nourish that acrimony which in the end may not serve our best interest.
America will simply use Naija and dump.
