The Governor of Abia State, Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu is in Brazil on a working visit and led Abia delegates to a cassava farm to discuss collaboration in technology transfer on the development of Cassava full value chain in Abia State.

Earlier In Brazil, Igbos matched in their numbers to the Airport to welcome the people's Governor, who they described as a jinx breaker, being the first Governor from Igbo extraction to visit and interact with Abians and Igbos in Brazil for over 18 years.

It was another big opportunity to open a discussion on development of sports in Abia State.

Brazil ranks high in Sports and Agriculture.

The Governor has continued to attract foreign direct investments to the State which helps in the economic development of the State. Also, inward FDI has the potential for job creation and employment ,which often results to higher wages.
