  3. This news is coming late. He should have declared before close of work on Friday as other state governors did. No mail was received from HR as regards to that. Even schools didn't make announcement or notify parents and guardian

  10. I appreciate the gesture from Lagos state governor. Abiola was important to the Yorubas. However I must mention that all the souls lost by the igbos during the war were important to us also and 30 May should not only be a sit at home but a work free day in all the former Biafran states.

  11. And they will gleefully obey like it is a national holiday. If na biafra day now some idiots will be abusing igbos. Yadiba nnor! Ogadinma

    1. Exactly. This was the San thing the igbos did but they thought it was an act of war. We only used that 30th to sit at home as a public holiday on all igbos state in respect of the souls that departed on the 30th of May. But no all insult were thrown at us. Isn't Rhos hypocritical? Besides it's a state holiday, not federal holiday. So who is to say the igbos states can't take holiday? Or we are not allowed to celebrate or remember the dead??

  14. During the 16 years of PDP kleptocracy, the evil kleptocrats refused to recognise June 12 as democracy day. The progressives pressured the then PDP government but were ignored. Now that the APC (which tags itself as a progressive party) in power, one would expect will use its control of the federal government to establish June 12 as the proper democracy day holiday in Nigeria. But of course the APC has been hijacked by the PDP decampees who are gradually destroying the party.
