Mel B Shuts Down Ex-Husband’s Outrageous Demands

Mel B is saying no to the spousal support demands of her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte who is asking for $4,300 a month for groceries....JOKER!

According to TMZ, the former Spice Girl has filed documents that outline her objections. She is shutting down her ex’s wish list of requests, including $4,300 a month for food and groceries plus $2,000 for clothes.

She is also refusing to pay $11,000 a month for Belafonte’s housing. Additionally, she blasted his ex’s $750 monthly cellphone bill, which she calls an “exorbitant” cost for one device.

In March, Mel B filed for divorce from Belafonte after almost a decade of marriage, accusing him of domestic violence and infidelity.

Belafonte claims their public divorce has cost him $500,000 in earnings. He also claims he is currently homeless and broke. In court documents, Belafonte said: “We lived a very comfortable, upper-class lifestyle … money was never an obstacle.”

Bro, you were living off her earnings and had no money of your own.

When you treat a good woman bad repeated, one day she would stop taking all of your excesses and just walk away.
Your homelessness and sufferings just started man!

    1. Thank you dear, we Africans are so gender biased, the recent one Janet Jackson did to that guy was over looked because she is a lady now that the ball has shifted to the other side everyone is now gender shaming the poor guy. Gender equality? Are women really ready for gender equality

  15. Why do women cry wolf when an ex husband claim spousal support?

You all want gender equality. Yet you berate men who claim spousal support and hail women who are able to "con" millions from their ex husbands.

    Is that equality?

In case you don't know...in the UK and USA, both partners in a marriage are equal and known as one. This means, any money owned when married is shared between the partners if they break up depending on responsibilities.

It is not a case of "I made all the money". Your partner (either man or woman) get a share of it, even if they did not contribute a dime to earning.

    1. Before you start talking about other countries and their laws, let your brain work a little. She left his broke behind because he beat her severally. Are you saying that doesn't matter? She should pay him spousal support notwithstanding? As payment and/or thanks for beating her? Nobody's that stupid biko

    2. Broomstick go and read the main story, the main problem was that the husband was getting used to living like a celebrity hence he was spending too much money. The husband was like stealing all the shine from her which made her take a walk. Gender equality must not be one sided no matter what the man deserve his own share of the wife's money.

    3. Spousal support from a man to woman is usually where a divorce is not the fault of the woman e.g leaving a 55 year old wife after 30 years of marriage to marry a pregnant 23 year old model. Hahahahhahaha you go pay alimony na. Hahahahaha. In this case the divorce is the fault of the man ... violence...he cannot profit from it by being paid a dime.

  16. Stella, I'm going to be trolling on this particular post cos I've seen the initial comments are just crazy. How can anybody support domestic violence?
To those talking about gender equality, it swings both ways. You can't expect someone to pay his/her abuser for the abuse. Mel B isn't rejecting the demand because she's a woman and he's a man. She's rejecting it because she should even sue his stupid behind for domestic violence and he's out there asking for payment for beating her up. Do you now understand that this has nothing to do with the payment but with the abuse?
