  1. Its the usual. The issue with this whole axis area is drainage but id rather keep living on the island. I can't live on the mainland. Very dirty and cramped up.Those of you who want to masturbate under my comment are free to do so

    2. There's RCCG and APostle Suleiman's church etc. in the middle of this. They are wealthy. Claim to give freely. Why can't they give their Neighbourhood a good drainage system? And fix roads? Stella this pic is cropped. You for see am

    1. So you prefer smelling gutter water half year round to a cramped place. Atohunrinwa xxx have you heard of places like Ikeja GRA,Magodo phase and two,Omole Phase 1and 2,Ilupeju,Okupe estate maryland,Adeniyi Jones,Awuse estate Opebi. All these places are well spaced,no flood and very close to the airport.Lekki wannabe,I'm sure you were squatting with family members in orile or ijesha when you first got to Lagos.Agungi and Ilasan are part of the lekki peninsular too Abi?Lekki home kg broke people people and wannabes, kobo no dey bank account.

  6. Is this not even more worse and embarrassing than the picture of flooding in GRA Asaba? And some people were raining curses on Anioma people, even though Okowa is not Anioma? Who you wan curse now?

The moral of the story is that flooding can happen anywhere. It's on the news all over the world and we don't here people resorting to bigotry? If you want to hold the government to account, then do just and stop evil bigotry!

  7. The painful aspect is the rubbish water in their stagnant gutters coming out to rub your feet. Pedestrians suffer more when its like this.

My estate doesn't get flooded at all. It is not the whole of lekki that has this problem. This is the best time to check out houses if you want to live here. Rainy season exposes a lot. Would rather live here than choked up mainland.

  13. Advice to people living in the areas prone to flooding, you've got the money why not use it to save yourselves? Set up a committee of like minds and try to raise money for drainages. This is after you've done your estimates et al. It isn't the government that is suffering every year but you, the home owners/dwellers. We're not where we should be ideally in this country, so while you're still paying taxes for amenities not being provided, do what you can to reduce your discomfort. Or if that is too much to do, buy those inflatable boats that you can easily deflate and pack, lol

  17. It's not the developers who are to be blamed. They are 'a for profit org' & so they will just build where they have permit. They are not the ones who plan a city, that's for dept of town planning and works or its equivalent. (don't know the appellation of such body in naija ).

So the body to be held accountable is the government of Lagos state or the dept of town planning who allocated building contracts to these real estate companies without a proper plan for the city. Na so oyibo take pass us. Every city is planned, as in drawn on a map with engineering allocations to issues of drainage, sewage disposal etc. How do we even erradicate malaria? When we always create a breeding ground for mosquitos & other life threatening parasites & diseases.
