    2. Why do we have this penchant for refusing to be informed? Just look at the comments below? There was a protest/riot at the school. Was he supposed to leave the school open for students to get Killed? Or was he supposed to allow students destroy things in the school. As a father & family man,are guys saying he should not be at a private family function? Did he lead the riot? Did he cause the riot? Our hypocrisy as Nigerians stink.

    3. Fresh, the outrage is that his own son isn't in a Nigerian university.

    4. What is more hypocritical is the fact that he heads a school, yet his child(ren) cannot attend same!

    1. The important thing is to not stay poor in Nigeria. Just oray for God's mercy. Cos thieves will come and tell you you're not hardworking just because they dont have conscience and you do. And their kids will still get the better opportunities

  10. I am not surprised.. This is Nigeria where the rich only think of themselves alone, why would any of them even bother about improving the educational standard in Nigeria in the first place when most/all of them have their kids studying and enjoying outside Nigeria at the expense of the poor masses. That is how my stupid governor here in Kwara has signed 50billion for construction of bridge, and has been installing street lights all around when the salaries of his workers is yet to be paid and he keeps paying the radio and tv station to announce that he has paid.. shey those ones are also mumu and would report fake news. So now when people dont have money to fill their tanks, how will the bridge be put to use or na street light we go chop.. mtchewwww *misplacedpriority*

    1. I thought I was the only one that noticed. Imagine him building overhead bridge when he hasn't paid salaries for months. Like there is even no need for the bridge!

      Leave them, their "reward" is in heaven. I don't blame them, I blame the gullible Ilorin people that keeps voting en masse for those thieves!

  12. The allocation he was supposed to use to provide amenities in UI, he used it to sponsor his son in a USA university.
    Let's check it, if the son studied a four year course, the average tuition (not including living expenses) is $130k to 160,000 dollars. With living expenses, one will be looking at at least a quarter of a million dollars;
    did he earn that in the last four years?
    Has EFCC checked this man's USA and other foreign accounts??

    1. Mr Calculator,u need to ask when he became VC before you begin to assume he has been VC for thirty years and even used part of the funds to buy NAN Formula for the boy when he was a baby.Have you ever heard of the word Scholarship? So because the man is a VC,the family should not pursue better education abroad if the opportunity is available abi.

  17. It's his decision to send his kids to any school they like, yours can do same. The fact that he is a VC doesn't mean he owns the school or his kids must be in same school. As a matter of fact he has little contribution to the UI going on strike, is UI a private school?

    1. MrsBee, this ur stupid comment and reasoning is disheartening.

      Delete
    2. Mrs Bee is being objective and not being a hypocrite. Many of us (if not all) will send our kids to school abroad if we had the opportunity.

      The issue now should not be about his son schooling over there but it should be about how to make things right again in Nigeria so that when we hear of other people schooling in the US or UK, we will not be pained.

      Our students should also try to be serious. I heard of the real reason for the students protest and I was disappointed. Really, the VC had no choice but to close down the school. He was receiving calls from his bosses due to the road blocked by students. Economic activities in Ibadan was practically grinded on that day. He had no choice but to go extreme because the students went extreme.

      I know the VC is trying to resolve this and when they resume, Exams will start. So dear students read and don't play away your time while at home.

  21. It's a matter of choice. My mum was a teacher in a government primary school but I didn't attend any of the schools she taught. If I had, I would have ended up attending about 4 different schools by the time I finished. It's not compulsory that the Vc's children attend Nigerian universities
