    1. Enh they should make it official language na since its that one that is doing them. I want to see how they will force us to learn the language. Whether they will make us all go to school again and force illiterate market women in the riverine area to learn hausa.

  8. Funny man!
Hausa is a beautiful language though, but it can't be forced down anyone's throat.
I love all Nigerian languages.there is beauty in every tribe and language, why can't people see that?
Embrace only your language if you choose to, but leave people and their tribes ALONE!

  11. It really would be nice to speak Hausa. It's a lovely language, and sounds musical. Also, especially since it's made most 'Igbos' successful in your northern states, which causes you guys grief. On the other hand, making Hausa language the official language, here in Nigeria, ain't gonna happen. Not even with the whole arm of government being Hausa. But hey bro, you're free to dream on. Just don't wake up, because you're probably not ready for reality. Ekene kwa'm unu

  17. Now this is why my mother speaks only Efik with the cobblers/shoe menders. I complained once and she told me to mind my business as they force everyone to learn their language in their land. It works for her she but it's headache inducing watching her interact with them

  19. Beautiful language ko, parasite language ni. A president disappears for 100 days, on our money, then instead of reappearing, sends a tribalistic message in hausa? Nonsense and rubbish.

  20. The political climate is way too tense, people aren't in the mood to sniff out sarcasm or humour from comments on political issues. It doesn't help too, when we have instigators like Reno Omokri fanning the embers of discord. He, of all people, should know the improbability and impracticability of Saddiq Ibrahim's statement. Far be it for Reno not to cash in on the slightest opportunity to attack the present government. Reno can be very petty at times and unnecessarily so.‎

I deliberately stay away from posts on politics and religion because of the sensitive nature and how heated the arguments can get, but I just had to make this an exception because people who are already tightly wound would launch into attack mode on a comment ordinarily  deserving a laugh or a shake of the head at the ridiculousness of such a perverted idea.

Just as I suspected, this post will inspire the tribalism war, especially because of the whole controversy surrounding the Biafra agitation. Alas! My suspicion were justified. Guys, let's calm down and save our energy for more serious and more credible comments. If we keep reacting to silly comments like Saddiq's, we will invariably become circus clowns for the likes of Saddiq's entertainment. ‎
