Attention - Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST)

This is a call out to NIPOST::........Please tag anywhere you can.

The Complaint is thus

''07/03/2017 , my cousin mailed a package to me through NIPOST/EMS , from Lagos Nigeria to Houston Texas ,the package is now untraceable and has been stagnant on pre-shipment, when it should have been delivered a week ago.

I have mailed NIPOST and got no response, I have called NIPOST and got no response , the workers at the branch she shipped from , have all refused to pick my calls , the package is valued at 400,000 Naira.

Pleasethis is a call out to NIPOST officials look into this and deliver my package to me peacefully. I have attached receipt and the tracking message

WOW,so NIPOST still exists?
Please if you know anyone who works in NIPOST;tag them on this...This is really disgraceful...Others deliver promptly so why should NIPOST be different?

  9. They still exist.

EMS is actually faster, it's the courier part of NIPOST. I think they've stolen your package.

So sorry. Next time use DHL if you have to send something that valuable

  10. exactly. They are rogues especially one delivery guy in Victoria Island. i actually saved his no as Nipost Thief. He brought 8 Items for me in one day and insisted that i had to pay N500 for each item. my purchase was from Aliexpress, the items were not even up to 4k. told him i couldn't pay that. would be?
I also wasnt the only one he was delivering to in my building. he had dozens of other packages
He left without giving me the stuffs. went to their office later and they insisted I still had to pay for delivery. just left it. wasnt worth it. They are all in on it...

My advise, go to their website and call one of the lines they have listed, those are their bosses. One dude was reasonable and actually called Lagos but they actually claimed the items had not arrived; can you imagine...

Anyhow if its valuable pls dont use nipost

  11. Rubbish NIPOST!! I am definitely sending this to someone I know. I hope it reaches the 'Management'. I am not surprised one bit. Let me tell you why:

I very stupidly requested my transcript to be sent to me when i needed urgently. Three weeks later, I had received nothing. So i emailed back and forth, they said they sent it and will send another. When agbada hook, i asked again (third time) for it to be sent to my aunt's in Brum. She got it in two days and sent through her friend the next weekend. The school obviously felt that NIPOST was like USPS or Royal Mail (based on their Western understanding of Govt. brands naau) so they opted for that. Not knowing....

Four months later (FOUR!!) I was at home when the guy at the gate came to meet me that two men were looking for me. I hardly receive guests at my folks, so I was curious. Upon asking he said: Aunty I no know but them resemble Motor Park boys.

I truly went and saw two tattered looking men, one particularly had a shirt on with many holes (these are the delivery people who will let 400k goods reach you?? HELL NO!!). As i realised they were from NIPOST I was curious (I love RCA) so i initiated conversation and these were some reasons they gave:
    1. That they didn't have anyone to send to this area (really??!!)
    2. That international delivery needs approval to be taken out, so it was in their office for months before they got approval (wtf??!)
    3. That they don't have vehicles to aid faster delivery, so they do it on foot (truly they looked like tired nomads, no joke).
These are the ones i can remember. I offered them seats, coke and some leftover sandwiches from brekkie, so the conversation was long. Honestly, I felt like giving that guy a shirt from our give away clothes, but my mum wasn't at home to give me permission. He looked that BAD!

AFter all the talk they left. And i tried picturing them with Royal Mail delivery guys - NO MATCH!! These guys looked very hungry and frustrated. As i complained on my BBM status, someone told me he knows the people that were running NIPOST under PPP (he mentioned the names) and he can't believe they are doing such a poor job of it. I will send this post to him and if anything comes out of that I will get back through Stella.

But the truth is, we keep blaming Govt yet when we as 'good' citizens have an opportunity to right their wrongs, we still f**k up. Why can't they run NIPOST efficiently to beat DHL/UPS etc to their game? Online malls are doing delivery/logistics very well and making good money. Yet someone has sat on billions and peoples' parcels are being misplaced/delayed. #GovtIsNotAlwaysTheProblem

  12. You are not alone, i also have a parcel that was sent to me since 4th of July untraceable.Destination is Canada, i heard there is a "container that is delayed" so probably our parcels will be in it. Did you post from Marina as our tracking number seems to originate from the same post office.

    ReplyDelete
  13. They are rogues in that place . Try the marina office you would be sorry . Always even begging for money

  14. Big mistake you made. Next time use either DHL or UPS and make sure you guys pay for insurance on said item. Package don enter one change.

  16. @Chikito you spoke the truth ho-ha..We are always blaming the government when we share a greater percentage of the problem..we are the government we keep blaming

  18. delivery inward Nigeria gets delivered because the merchant will always document it all the way but outward from Nigeria, OYO is your case. of which i know the Victoria island delivery guy(s). always demanding for N500, after rejecting the parcels alot of times, the elderly one came back stylishly with some "you are our customer, just give me what you have so i can get lunch". since then, he even calls me before coming.

  20. Same thing happened to me earier this year at NIPOST ABUJA. I had a parcel delivered from Detroit(MAC Cosmetics) and they never reached me till date as we speak. After going to their office for almost 3 months pursuing it and filling forms every week, i finally gave up on it and cursed whoever will swear my makeup on her face, cos i used my hard earned money to buy those cosmetics. I gave them the tracking number and it showed in their system when the items left detroit and when it arrived lagos, but it never arrived in abuja. NIPOST staff are a bunch of thieves!
