How was your night?Worried by anything?
Sometimes we have so many small things to thank GOD for but we wait for miracles that sound like a lie before we acknowledge his goodness.....
Yesterday I sat and observed a woman whose baby almost drove her crazy..The little boy was pulling down everything in sight and screamed off his lungs if she tried to stop him..It seems he just perfected his walking steps..LOL
She couldnt eat breakfast and was obviously so embarrassed,she was almost in tears and I walked up to cheer her up and told her I went through same but that mine was worse but i survived it.I told her the stress never stops,showed her my boys arguing at the breakfast table and we both burst out laughing.....
I told her ''whilst I thank God I have passed your stage,you thank God that you have not gotten to mine cos my kids can think for themselves now and question every move i make or whatever I say..I have back up my decisions or arguments with theories and schools of thought or I forget it..If i say No,I need a back up speech,if i say Yes,I need to explain why i agreed in case of next time,OMG..''
She laughed so much she had tears and after that point her mood changed for the better and she relaxed tried different ways to curb his little 'crase'..lol.
And when I was leaving later with my boys,they were still arguing about something I said and hers was trying to pull down something on the table.
We both said ''Thank God'' and laughed so hard...

When my son was 1year and 7months, he was in play class then in his creche where they teach them rhymes. One evening I had returned from work and was solo tired, layed down to rest but he won't let me. He will open my eyelids with his fingers and squeeze it . I tried to make him stop but he won't so I spanked him a lil on his butt.
He buried his face on the bed and was silent for a while, next thing I heard him humming ' I love you, you love me. We are happy family...'
God, I was so shocked tears flowed down I had to cuddle him and we hummed the ryhme together till he slept off. Lol
Anytime he cries now I will just sing the song and he smiles when i get to kiss him.

ReplyDeleteBv greatlady,it is child abuse to tie a child down. Not moving for hours can make one have DVT which can kill. Even people sick and hospitalised are given anticoagulants so they don't develop DVT. That was what killed Goldie. Stop tying that child down.how will u feel if u are being tied down for hours. I'll advise you stop beating the child for now because you are responding to her violent tantrum with violence. Once she starts throwing a tantrum, almost ignore her just make sure she doesn't hurt herself. Once she's calmer, explain to her in calm words not to do that again. If she throws things, immediately tell her no and collect whatever it is from her. Sometimes distractions such as singing for her, hugging and dancing for or with her may work.
