The withdrawal of the quit notice was announced in Abuja on Thursdayevening by the leaders of the group at a press conference.
Before the announcement was made, the group members had met with the Governor of Borno State, who is also the Chairman of Northern Governors’ Forum, Mallam Ibrahim Shetima and a former Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Kabiru Gaya.
Also in attendance at the meeting were ex-minister Sani Daura and the Leader of Arewa Youths Council, Alhaji Shettima Yerima and a Nollywood Actor, Kenneth Okonkwo.

ReplyDeleteI'll still advise Igbo people that have sense to leave that place. The slaughter may not be open but may be done quietly. He who has ears should hear. I don't know how you people can stay peacefully in the North where they slaughter their own people who are not Muslims, let alone you that's not from there.
