Broadway TV Issues Statement To Actress Ronke Oshodi Oke Saying Interview Was Edited

Controversial quote ''I cannot cook for you if I am the breadwinner of the family''

Yesterday, actress, Ronke Ojo released series of videos on social media in reaction to her interview released on our YouTube Channel, Broadway TV (Broadway Africa TV). She said the good things she had said during the interview were “Edited” out. She also said she was quoted out of context and we wanted to tarnish her image.

While we cannot dictate to Ronke Oshodi Oke her feeling or her reaction to comment, we can say without any iota of doubt that her submissions were not true. Here is the full interview, she was not in any way misquoted, and she wasn’t playing or joking with the interviewer and cameraman.

The interview wasn’t “edited” in any way to make her look bad. We are open to “Aunty” Ronke pointing out in specific the areas she felt aggrieved in the interview.

We know for a fact that her theatrical reactions were as a result of comments on Instagram and some personal reactions from the people around her. It is however not right in any way for her to misrepresent fact by saying Broadway TV did not ‘edit’ the interview well.

We have absolutely nothing against Ronke Oshodi Oke and we wish her well.

  1. Stupid Ronke. She even spoilt the whole issue with her nonsense cry cry video. Why can't she stand by what she believed. I guess the men in her family lashed her out reason for her crocodile cry. She said it and they published her word period.

  2. I don't understand this fuss at all, Adam toiled d land to feed Eve that is the LAW and it must be so! If am d bread winner why must I come back and cook after a hard's day job? What she said isn't that bad and Broadway TV has to make an interesting caption/ header so that people can read it. How many women of this generation can cook for a lazy woman? If he lost the job he should hustle still na. You can eat my food when I didn't meet u at home o,but I met you lazing in d house and u expect me to cook for you while u sit and watch TV? Lailai, I no fit

Ronke was 100% wrong. The mistake has already been made. Too late to cry over spilt milk. Next time you should link her brain with her mouth. It's not everything you vomit bleeeeh on live TV.

  13. What I understand from the video is that Men need to be in control of their homes, financially, otherwise having their wives pay bills et all will make it difficult for the marriage to work. Her opinion!!!

  15. Pls you people should free this woman abeg. All she was just trying to say is that a man should be man enough to provide for his family. She just said it the way she could express herself not minding the language.Pls don't tarnish her image. All she was trying to relay is that a marriage where the man expects the woman to be the breadwinner would certainly not work. And I support her statement.
