Bus Crashes Into Shop In South London

At least six people have been injured in a bus crash on a busy high street in south London.

Images showed the double-decker wedged into the side of a shop after mounting the pavement on Lavender Hill, near Clapham Junction in Battersea.

A section of the shop’s awning appeared to have pierced the front windows on the bus’s upper deck. A witness said he saw a trapped woman screaming and that there was “a lot of blood”.

Police cordoned off the scene and told commuters to avoid the area after the crash at about 7am on Thursday.

An hour and a half after the crash fire crews were still trying to rescue two women from the top deck.

London streets are just too small and narrow, u need to see the way the bus drivers manoeuvre on a very narrow road. I do tell my sisters that the drivers are very skilled for them to be able to do that, they are trying, one must say. I wish speedy recovery to all injured

Exactly. I reckon that's why their driving tests are so thorough. You need to be a damn good driver to cope with driving in London.
