PHOTO OPERATION SUCCESSFUL:LIFE OF TTC FINALLY OVER

Dear Stella,

My wife has finally had the Surgery removed and the surgery was done in  on 25th of February 2017. Honestly it was the scariest day of my life. I bless God my wife survived the 3 hours surgery (from when she was opened). Would have loved to send you the pictures but for privacy sake cos her face is evident. The size is same as an 8 month old fetus. It was a miracle she made it cos alot of things happened.

Bless God on my behalf cos right now she's 10 weeks gone. I celebrate my own courage self cos an average guy would have worn his shoes on his hands and go 130mph at the time i knew she had fibrosis. She didn't even know then she had the growth. Na romance my hands find go her stomach while we were still dating then and i saw oddities there. I insisted she go for check up and viola it was 11cm by 9cm or so then. This was 2014. Got married 2015 with me having faith though i knew the challenges ahead; my faith in God was intact. We TTCed till 2017 when complications started coming in like involuntary urination, unusual protruding of the belly, etc and the fears for surgical removal heightened due to the fact that 2 persons we were so close to died while having similar procedure. Bear in mind my wife is skinny. So if big strong women can transit to beyond, how much more a skinny babe.

Please pray for safe delivery on our behalf and providence cos i want the best for my baby. After my wife, na u i love next o. Pictures for your eyes only please.

*JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH;I AM SO DONE WITH MEAT:::OMG OMG OMG:NEVER SEEN FIBROID SO BIG EVER:WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

The poster is a BV who had mailed in asking of the contact of the BV whose fibroid was taken out...Omg this is too big..i feel weak..WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THING??????????????????????????
If you want to see the SHOCKING Photo, please mail me...JESUS!

#OurMumuDonDo

I was born during General Sanni Abacha’s administration. While growing up, I knew absolutely nothing about what it meant to be a Nigerian and the state of the nation as of the era I was born.

After Sanni Abacha died, a song erupted. No one knew how or where it came from but we all just found ourselves singing it and it goes thus:
“One day, One day,
Nigeria play ball,
Kanu jump up,
One naira fall.
Abacha take am go buy chewing gum.
Yum Yum Yum, chewing gum dey sweet.
Three days later, Abacha die”.

Whenever we finished singing this song, the older ones around us seemed to have a breathtaking joy that beamed across their faces. We never knew why the death of a leader would bring so much celebration, but, this joy always had a way of rubbing off on us who were the children because it brought to mind “The promise of a better Nigeria".

My dad had a slim and aged white client who visited our house not so often. His command of pidgin goes a long way in proving that he had spent quite a long time in Nigeria. His lips had grown dark from cigarettes but he never stopped puffing several sticks whenever he came visiting and even though I hated the smell of cigarettes, I loved to hear the intelligent words that came out of his mouth whenever he spoke.

I would sit inside and listen to him and dad discuss business and from business, they proceeded into matters of the state. He always started off by bragging about his country after which he ended by admitting that Nigeria is a blessed country that will definitely soar in no distant future.

The promise of a better Nigeria was a craze we never got cured from. I watched my dad and neighbours run to the polling booth at every election, with hopes that the to-be president will be better than the former. I watched them brag about their candidates during the elections. But after the elections, I watched their ego die a painful death, from disappointment to pain and then to vying for another president who they believed would be the messiah.

Franchise they say is the best exercise. But, if this was what it meant to exercise one’s franchise, then I had sworn never to be like my neighbours who wore long faces after exercising theirs.

I grew up to realise that in Nigeria, the constitution only works if you are a nobody that knows nobody.

I grew up to realise that those who teach you to fight for your right will fight you right back if it is not in their favour.

I grew up to realise that millions of people are ready to fight with you before the war erupts but when you get to the battlefield, you turn to realise that you have been stabbed in the back by your cheerers and the sword gently twisted in.

I grew up to realise that the capital of Nigeria is “Cowardice City” and we all are cowards who only have a strong hold behind our keypads.

I grew up to realise that before an election, the citizens are important but after an election, the citizens are just another option.

I grew up to realise that the best way to be made for life is to hold a political position.

I grew up to realise that a better Nigeria is a dream we might never wake up from if we keep enduring this dreamland.

  1. I know it's been dark in the valley recently. You wonder if you will make it through and what awaits you if you do. But as you move through, know this: You are someone's hero — a living example of faithful & cheerful perseverance. Someone has the courage to meet the day because they see you do it. Someone sees GOD in you . . . even when you feel you can't see God at all. Even on your worst day, you are a BLESSING. Isn't God amazing?

  6. You know ehn, the fear of parents withdrawing their kids from the private sector is really making a lot of schools do some things that are wrong and this is having a negative effect on education.

For instance, I was made a temporary class teacher last term and even though I didn't like it one bit, I decided I would definitely do something different.

So when we were filling the students' report cards, I wrote 'He is very playful, stubborn and dirty. He is also an average student. There's room for improvement. Then I submitted to my HOD.

You needed to see her screaming and saying I shouldn't write that, that the parents will either complain or withdraw their kids from the school and then 'Mama' will get angry with me.

And I was like 'Lai Lai, these parents need to hear the undiluted truth on how their kids are doing in school so as to also help talk to them, thereby making our work easier and being a better influence on the kid.

But Oga no gree sha. We eventually settled for. ' he's very playful. He's also an average student.' I wasn't happy with that. But what will I do. No be me get school.

Another instance is in the primary sector where parents just come and tell the school they want the kids to be double promoted and mama knows that If she doesn't oblige them, there's a chance they will take the kid to another school who will take them in that class. This is so wrong. Only a teacher can suggest that a child should be given double promotion.

There's this instance of this woman who said her daughter who was doing quite okay after pry 1 should be promoted to pry 3 as against pry 2. Her reason being that the daughter is too tall for the class as she's taller than most of her classmates. TF!!!! And to think this woman is a govt school teacher.

Wetin we go do na, we put her in pry 3 and you need to see how poorly this girl is doing now probably because all she was to learn in pry 2, she couldn't, thanks to the poor decision of her mother. But what can we do, we need their money to keep the school moving.

On issue of class repetition, that one is totally impossible. I remember when I was in pry school, after the exams, if you do poorly, my dear, u ain't moving an inch from that class and parents complied because parents of those days know how important it is for children to do well in school. And even double promotion was only given from pry 4 to pry 6 only after the pry 4 students take a special exam after the normal end of session exams called 'double promotion exam'. Only kids who do well in this particular exam move on to pry 6 while others who passed only the normal exam are promoted to pry 6 and those who didn't unfortunately repeated pry 4.

But nowadays, most private schools don't even have pry 5 anymore as the class will be empty cos no parent would agree for his or her child not to be promoted to pry 6 after p4.

So parents pls, let the teachers do their work. Don't interfere except you know for a fact that the teacher is teaching your kids rubbish (yea, there are so many unqualified teachers out there). Take the truth when they give it to u and use that opportunity to find ways to better your child instead of fighting the teachers thinking they are insulting your child.

    THE END

    2. Woow, so parents do this in Nigeria? What is the rush in promoting a child that isn't exceeding among his/her mates? This is not fair on the child.
Here in U.K. it very rare to promote children because they grade them according to their date of birth. Children born from September to August the next year are class mates. parents are updated about their child's progress during parents even which happens twice a year though parents can be contacted if there is concern about their child progress or wellbeing.

Why do Nigerians rush their children. Some children aren't mentally prepared to start secondary or higher institutions yet some parents want them to.
The woman that feel her child is too tall should calm down, my daughter was born in September which mean she was among the late starter and tallest in her class but that didn't bother me because she is intelligent and has lots of friends.

Eka the owners should think twice about her actions because it's very bad. Money is not everything.

You see how readable this epistle is? Copy her pls. Yours are always filled with errors and gbagauns, real gbagauns aside the phone errors.
Maybe it's a night school that you even need, better still contact ekajoy to come and be doing home lesson for you, she is a good teacher. I'm sure your hubby can afford her, she is still a local level teacher. she won't charge much.

      Delete
    4. Hello Eka, how are you doing? As for the report/feedback given to parents concerning their chid's progress (behavioural and academic) in school, I once was in a position where I reported at the end of term that a particular child in my school was aggressive as she pinches any child who plays with her when the teacher isn't looking, on submitting the report to the Head of School, he examined that comment and eventually took it out, since I couldn't argue with him neither could I register my displeasure at such, I left his office with the report to effect necessary changes. I had to ask another senior colleague why he did that, and it was fully explained to me that as a teacher who knows the power and effect of her words to the hearts of people, you opt for positive feedback when reporting so that even years later when the child stumbles on the report, they don't feel less of themselves because of something that was said many years ago.
My point is sometimes it's not just because of the parents that you don't use such critical words.

    5. Eka u have become my prayer point since i discovered u teach.I pray to God everyday to always be rich enough to afford good quality teachers for my kids and not poor to d point i have to settle for your type

    7. Parent need to let teacher do their job. I like my sons school. They don't even mince word. They don't care if you pull out because they know they are good. And one of the best here.

      Teachers knows best
It's sad if some schools have stopped that repetition of a thing. As they are just pushing that child to his downfall at some point. The foundation has to be right. If the foundation is cracked, nothing can stand

  28. Monday IHN saves life, can't wait for the day to end.

So observations from yesterday's SnM post, why are there so many single ladies from Anam bra state.

I read through the 605 comments and over 100 were single ladies from Anam bra alone.

Maybe somebody from an Anambra state can tell me why their ladies can't seem to hook up a man .what can be the cause of this

*is it The hefty bride price they ask their intending suitors to pay that discourages men from from asking for their hands in marriage

*or it is the unsubmissive nature of their women, yes Anambra woman are very stubborn

Plus I noticed something else about their posts, most of them are quite educated but most of them stated that they wanted men from Anambra state.

Why won't these single ladies try men from other igbo lands or other tribes in the country.

Anybody from Anambra care to explain this things to me,

August meeting ladies, biko, ejoo don't try so hard to be what you are not!Be real you as you don't have to be in competition with anybody.

It may interest you to know that the soul aim of this meeting is for social services, humanity, and social responsibility to your community and not to showcase different types wrappers, shoes, gold chains and carsπŸ˜€πŸ˜€.

Women groups try as much as you can to lecture your women on self contentment! And virtues as they are the mirrors of the society.

Facebook even blocked the photo saying it contains graphic content and you can click if you want to view. I was preparing for breakfast and cautioned myself. curiosity wouldn't let me be.
I clicked on it and for some seconds I was wondering what part of the body I was staring at. It was truly graphic. I felt for the lady. It looked like a very bad "cancer of the leg".
That was how I ended up boiling egg to eat my jollof rice. Cant eat meat till I get over it.

  44. Stella maris and to two anons that asked how I Cooked my spaghetti and beans jollof on breakfast post,I saw it late and I'm here to answer your questions (I hope you get to see it o!)

    INGREDIENTS -
1 packet of golden penny spaghetti
Half paint bucket of fresh tomatoes
3 cups of beans ( I used brown beans)
    2 smoked fish
Vegetable oil or any oil of your choice
    Onions
    Knorr cubes
    Blended crayfish
    Pepper

    PREPARATION -
Parboil your beans for. Some minutes, wash and drain.

Break your spaghetti to your desired size, parboil and drain.

Slice your tomatoes and onions, fry for some minutes to retain some freshness (I don't deep fry)add your knorr or any seasoning of your choice and also pepper.

Wash the fishes, debone and put in a pot,add the blended crayfish, knorr, onions and little water and cook for some minutes.
Remove the fish and keep separately, add the fried tomatoes to the fish stock, put your beans first and start cooking, cook it till it becomes tender. Add your parboiled spaghetti and cook till it becomes tender and blends with the beans( if your beans is well cooked and soft, you'll enjoy it more)#my opinion

    That's how I cook mine

Even though I love cooking, I never like food myself. Sometimes, I eat only ones a day and in small portion. I added very few kilo after I gave birth and I kept it; even though I still look slim.
