  3. Good one Uncle Ray! He did the right thing.
Money that isn't yours can never be used for any good thing.

People will definitely insult him, but he is not greedy like them and he will sleep well at night without being scared of being attacked by unknown night walkers.

He will gain the trust of those he work with without trying so hard.

God will surely bless him with more money that will last him a life time.

    1. People will insult him means nothing. The truth is not everyone loves or takes the route to hell.

      Virtue, good reputation over riches.

  4. He wouldn't have been able to spend that money. His account would have be frozen and python red alert. Moreover he can be traced easily except he wants to go int hiding because of N7m. He is doing what is expected of him. Don't know why he's feeling heroic posting on social media when he'd have easily walked into the nearest branch of diamond bank and sort it out.

    2. Exactly, how would he have spent it? We can say he is honest if he found the money without noone's knowledge and he returned it.

  15. I'd definitely return that money. People are looking to blow whistle and I won't be willing to go to jail for something I know nothing about. Run or go into hiding for a "measly" 7mil? No na.

  16. If money that wasn't mine mistakenly entered my account and I was not contacted after 24hrs, I would go to the bank and report it then ask for a copy of a mail to the regional head and a signed letter stating clearly what happened. It wouldn't even cross my mind to announce it on social media but maybe he had exhausted all other private options. That was exactly what I did last year when it happened.I still have my copy of that letter.Stamped and signed.Maybe not the best move,I must say.

What I love about this though is his opportunistic mindset. He would have been caught if he had kept the money but publicly returning it would most definitely earn him very good rewards in some way. Sharp guy!

  17. He couldn't have been able to spend it anyways. Good thing he returned it. But there was a bv here that had same issue, for over a year and they didn't revert the money. She was asking us what to do then.

  18. This one na small thing sef. One man in our church in Warri returned N54M that was paid to him in error.

  19. Well I don't know what I would do until it actually happens to me.

  20. It's not like he would have been able to spend it. As his account would have been placed on hold. He wouldn't have been able to make any withdrawal that isn't his own money so nothing heroic about it .. Heroic is seeing money on the floor, brief case filled with pounds and dollars or even naira and still return it to the police station instead of walking home with it

  21. I wil return such money. I can't endure the trouble of having the security outfits run after me. Returning it might earn you some good public commendations plus some part of the cash whereas keeping it will do the opposite.

  22. Ray is the one on the left.....he is a big boy.... Works with a multinational company, and also has his own business on the side. Returning the money was not a biggie for him. And for those who asked why he came to social media, clearly you don't know him. Ray is an active social media person, that's where you get to meet him cos of his busy schedule.
    And no I'm not @raynergy......but a friend

  23. This guy was smart...ther is no waaayyy he could have spent that money, sooner or later they would have traced it to him. If he sorted it out privately the bank might have reversed it silently. Doing it publicly pays him...he becomes popular, commended and who knows might just be rewarded for his honesty.
