Of course they will because they're looking for love. They're seeking for care. You have assumed a social status in their lives. They see you as one they can run to.Depression is in its full force in Nigeria,it is no longer about being broke,it is basically about relations of immediate family members not being ready to share Love.Intolerant and outrightly selfish.Now take a look at this list which is likely to include some of your friends, your relations or your blog visitors.
A depressed person needs psychosocio love reason they keep mailing you and posting the "rescue me" comments in the comment section. They are not joking.They include:
The woman with a Difficult child/an autistic/crippled child/deformed/with an uncaring husband/with a cheating husban/in bad debt /who lost her business venture
The woman who hates where she lives&the residents/whose job is non satisfactory/ stagnant/standard of living has dropped
The woman who has undergone trauma/loss/who was raped.
The woman who survives on prescribed drug/is not gainfully employed/who was battered.The list is endless.
What do all of them have in common. THEY CANNOT SLEEP! Mind you many of them are RICH but some of them don't need to see a doctor. They want Attention.Care. So what do they do?They live on the internet.They withdraw from family and friends and in the long run turn suicidal. Begging you to upload comments and do new posts so they while away the miserable earthly hours.
Please please for the sake of posterity,don't push them away.Seek for avenues and links to direct them to.There are reputable agencies.It is not about money alone.Some families are known to be moody from genetically inherited depression even though they are wealthy.The kids were moody adolescents who have become full blown depressed adults,the parents couldn't do much because they were also depressed.They only need help.Read a book like THE BLACK VEIL by Ricky Mood and you'll understand some things.The days are evil. Watch what you post.
In the past, your efforts at fighting the AIDS Scourge through your campaign AIDS NO DEY SHOW FOR FACE helped a lot of people to abstain from sex and become SAFE.
