Hurricane "Irma" On Its Way To The Caribbean Islands,Florida And Puerto Rico

Hurricane Irma has been upgraded to a powerful category four as warnings have been issued for several Caribbean islands in preparation for the storm.



Warnings have been issued for the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, St Martin, Sint Maarten, St Barthelemy, Saba and St Eustatius. It means that hurricane conditions are expected in the next 36 hours.

A hurricane watch also is in effect for some of the more populous parts of the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe, British Virgin Islands and US Virgin Islands, meaning that hurricane conditions are possible within 48 hours.

The US state of Florida and Puerto Rico have also declared state of emergency.

    1. Beloved our own natural disaster in Nigeria is an everyday occurrence or don't you think it is a natural disaster to be led by this set of politicians, so I wonder what it is to be thankful for in this country.

    Hurricane Irma is going to be a big and volatile one, Scientists have reasons to believe it could increase on impact with locations, proper relief shelters and communities have been formed to aid the soon-to-be affected. These in fact are terrible times, and I wish everyone in those areas Godspeed, goodluck and protection.

    This is a sad and life threatening, unfortunate that science cannot save the day as usual, man, Life as we know it is more complicated with these natural tantrums.
