Media Personality Toke Makinwa Allegedly Says Cheating Would Be Reduced If Women Shame Their Friends Who Date Married Men.

In a recent edition of Moments girl talk, media personality Toke Makinwa, her co-hosts Bolanle and Tallula and guests, singers Toni Tones and Peeshuan, deliberated on a very interesting topic, Why Men Cheat. During the discussion, Toke said in her opinion, she feels that all men cheat and that in Africa, cheating is celebrated instead of it to be rebuked.

The media personality who got separated from her estranged husband, Maje Ayida, after he got his side chic, Anita Solomon pregnant in 2015, said men who are not even cheating have been pressured to have flings outside their committed relationships.

Speaking further, Toke opined that women are the cause of cheating because you find mothers who know that their sons have five girlfriends welcoming all of them without cautioning them.

“Some women are the problem. Your son has four, five girlfriends. You know them, you smile in their faces. We live in a society and the culture that we have unfortunately believes that cheating is….you can’t sue a man for cheating in this country.

“If the man is selling and we are not buying, he would stop. We, women, are the problem. You find a man cheat on his wife cheat on his wife and you find reasons to make excuses for why he cheated. Maybe she wasn’t sleeping with him, Maybe she wasn’t unhappy, maybe she is a witch. I have had that been said to me. I have been cheated on publicly and I never saw women come out to say you know what, what this man did was wrong. You find them say is she the only one? What’s the big deal? Guess what, your child would go through it”

She also stated that cheating would be reduced if women shame their friends who date married men.

  6. 1. Tokstarr, not all men cheat. Because majority does, doesn't mean you should conclude that all do. Stop generalizing.

2."men who are not even cheating have been pressured to have flings outside their committed relationships."
I agree. Some godly men rebuke and rebuff such temptation, other weaker men fall for it.

    3. "Your son has four, five girlfriends. You know them, you smile in their face"
Yes naau, it's the dating/sampling stage. That is why the girls should be wise enough not to give the cookie way too soon. BUT! A mother who condones her son having other women when her son has engaged a particular last is a bad mother.

4 Women shaming their friends dating married men? I agree to an extent but in truth nobody holy pass.

  9. Hmmm. I think she's right to an extent.
Knew of a girl who once went to fight her sister's hubby's side Chic.
Says the chic was insulting her sis(the wife).
And even insulted her in-law (the hubby) of not respecting his wife.
You know the funny thing is that, she herself dated and was dating a married man.

So you see all these girls shouting "face your husband"!, they can't even take half of what most wives are tolerating if table were to be turned.

Do unto others what you'll want others do to you.

  10. Wetin Maje give this girl chop? Honey, polygamy is legal in Nigeria. You may want to start by changing the law. Women openly shaming each other is not the answer. I actually know a guy who married a side chic because she was openly shamed and humiliated. Pick and choose your battles wisely.

    1. Its not about legality my dear. Its about vows. If u do only trad pls go ahead and marry many wives but once you marry in church ESP catholic church you shall take no other till death do u part. Not to mention the understanding you and your wife have before entering. If u wanted to marry two wives marry them at once or with consent of ur spouse. Not chasing girls outside and coming home to beg. Do like oyimbo if you a are tired pack and leave d house u are free to remarry. No this click and bulk story up and down.

  11. She doesn't know what she's talking about. How many friends will agree they are dating married men? Again when a determined friend of yours sets her paws on a married man no amount of shaming will talk her out of it. There are other ways to do that.
Btw its obvious with her 'on becoming' book she has still not moved on and very pained. The way she sounds if maje wants her back she'd readily go back into the 'cheating' man's arms.

  12. If you shame a friend who is dating a married man, people especially women will say you are jealous, you should mind your business etc.
The most important thing here is personal discipline.

How do you really shame a friend who is dating a married man, when that same friend will get married early to a rich husband who will pamper and may not even cheat on her, give birth early to healthy children in short everything in her life will be going smoothly while the good girl is broke, jobless, single and sometimes married to a cheat, a wife batterer etc.

Its really not easy being a good girl.

  14. If you can't hold your dog, don't blame the side chicks because they are always on their own when your dogs comes to them. If a man cheat, shame the man and not the side chick. And women please learn to say no to all these married men because one day you will be the wife and side chicks will still be there to bring karma to you.

  24. Please people should stop making cheating an african thing the white cheat on their wives too.we are in a society where it is believe it's a men's world even if you condemn cheating some men will still cheat. My advice to we ladies is to love yourself,be independent, stop bothering about cheating husband/spouse,Do things that will give you 100% joy because we only need these men to bore babies and take care of some of our responsibilities and if you think you need love, your children should be the love of your life. For those who want sex, dildo is available nationwide or better still get a sweet, young guy that will always clean your ponyor for you.

  30. No woman should knowingly get involved with a married man, it's wrong and it places a curse on their daughters. Now, there are instances where a woman got involved with a married man and did not know this, the man lied and painted himself single, disowned his wife and children, such a woman cannot be blamed, she did not know.

Too many men lie about having a wife, or even lie on the wives and paint a very bad picture of them just to get outside sex. I could never tolerate a man who denied me and his children. Wives think single women are the enemy, the man you sleep next to is the real enemy. He is the one denying your existence, telling tales of how wicked you are, how he is tired of you and just waiting for the kids to get older so he can leave you, that is the real enemy. Blaming and hating the outside woman will not make him stop. If you were to die tomorrow he would have a new woman in six months flat, most men will not even give you a year of mourning, that's who you sleep next to at nights. If you get maimed or disfigured, or paralyzed most men will leave you. You have the nerve to go to war with another woman over a man who will replace you in the blink of an eye. The real enemy is the one you sleep next to at night. Love yourself, love God, but don't be dumb enough to make a man the center of your world. Some of you are idolaters in this marriage business, worshipping men as though they are the source of your life, then he cheats and you think single attractive women is the problem. I've never gotten involved with a married man, I've sent them all home to their wives. You married birds should be thanking women like me, of whom there are many, who sent you back your useless husband to go pretend happily ever after with.

  31. Not all men cheat, I don't know why some people believe this statement to be a fact. Yes, in your circle, all the married men might be cheating but there are other circles as well. Life cannot be defined by those you roll with.
My younger brother has a girlfriend who we all know. The day he wanted to do the sidechick nonsense, the rest of us put our foot down.

  34. Toke. It's not my place to judge anyone God knows but all this hypocritical talk while touting Jesus and Christianity turns people away from God.
It is a well known fact that a certain minister is sponsoring your life at the moment and they're no unmarried ministers so what's the comment for?
You closest friends according to social media are all known for sleeping with married men even the one who is holding on to her married name even though her marriage has been over for years to cover her tracks to your other very married and very single sister friends who augment their income by being part time wives and full time mistresses. So why not start with yourself Toke then you close circle of sisters and sister friends?
