Riot At ABA.....

This is serious, please call your family there and find out if they are OK.

This is one of the many mails and whatsapp message i just received...

''Stella I just got a call of the latest development in Aba,Abia state..

The Igbo Pro-Biafrans are killing all the Hausa's they set their eyes on! and i dont know how many they have killed soo far..Also they are destroying/burning down properties of anybody that is from the North;like Dangote Trailers etc..

As at now;troops of Army officials are all over the basic junctions of the road;and once its 6pmaround my area(dunno about others) no movement is allowed;but if you have to use the road;then you have to raise your hands while walking for the Army to see...

Please lets all pray and hope for peace;cos Biafrans at Aba have sworn they must get biafra no matter what it takes..

God help us all!!
God help those who have their family there!!''

*This Nonsense has to stop right now......I MEAN LIKE STOP ALREADY!!!

Please update us if you are in Aba.

    2. I can bet you they have not killed any Hausa man. They will only destroy their own properties and that's all. Meanwhile the northerners will kill them in dozens like chicken. Mumus. They will never learn

    3. Why should an hausa army officer shoot an igbo boy cos he wore a biafra wrist band? What if he wore north korean band? Army distroyed NUJ office in umuahia, why? An army officer shut dead a driver in rivers state for not giving him 100naira, now he is on the run. Is this how python dance? Brutai should call his boys to order. And Aba riot was not as serious. It just that isiala ngwa junction was blocked with heavy militry presence so the ipob formed groups there. Not in Aba.

    4. And you mumu cheesi know that the soldier is Hausa cos you are from his village right? So why not go to barracks to attack soldiers instead of attacking Hausa men. I pity the thousands of you that will be killed in the north.

They are fine. I've put them in my prayers. I pray there won't be reprisal attacks on Igbos from Northern states. I hate this Nnamdi Kanu's Biafra struggle with a passion! Can he stop already so we'll have peace?

  22. Lord please let the East get their wish. People who want to be a part of Biafra can be and the rest of us can find citizenship elsewhere. The case of South Sudan is slowly replaying again. Humans dont and wont learn until.hardship slaps them upside the head.

  27. Ran into the riot at osisioma junction on my way back from the market, gunshots coming from the front,I just came down from the car n ran, thanks to some FRSC officials that accompanied me home.it's not funny mehnn.

  28. Stella whoever sent this mail to you is biased. Why didn't he tell you what military men have doing in Abia state?

Soldiers were brought into Abia state on Monday night and on Tuesday they started their harassment, intimidation and killing.
Once you have any identity of Biafra, you are killed. Osisioma and isiala ngwa junction witnessed this, soldiers will stop buses, search and Maim any body suspected of being a biafran.

What did the NUJ office in umauahia do to warrant the type of ill human treatment they got from these soldiers? Your mailer didn't tell you that Soldiers numbering over 50 stormed the NUJ office in umuahia, went violent on them and destroyed all their working equipment. Their crime was watching the soilders harassment on unarmed individuals and probably trying to take snapshot and videos. If they the soldiers are doing the right thing, why are they afraid of being in the news?

All these led to the riots because the boys, even non supporters of biafra took to the streets to riot. Those hausas were even shielded by their fellow Hausa soldies while they attack the igbos.
I am not too keen on this Biafra issue but no man will watch as he is being killed and do nothing.

This not right way for the president to approach this issue.

  31. Y is it so difficult for this government to grant the must requested referendum if they say they have nothing to loose once the Igbos leave. Food for thought to all the ignorant Igbo people that can't speak up and stand against the marginalisation they are suffering at the hands of Nigeria. I am highly disappointed in you Stella, But to each his opinion.

    2. Referendum can only be debated and agreed in HOA. You and Kanu should take your agitation to the HOA. Before Brexit Referendum, it was agreed at the parliament

  32. This Biafra thing has to stop. Nnamdi Kanu and his cohorts didn't experience the civil war so they don't understand. I was a nurse in training during the war so we were drafted as Biafra nurses. I know what I saw the sufferings on children and adults. There were days when they will heap dead bodies in the hospital at Iyeenu and anywhere we had to relocate to. The Hunger was to much. Besides are we ready for secession? The south east doesn't even have a sea port. Our infrastructure is terrible etc. How are people going to survive. People will loose a lot of their investments in Nigeria. For example go to Abuja, 90 percent of hotels are owned by Ibos and so on. Do we even have sense? A power drunk boy comes to Nigeria to do this and our foolish boys and girls support him. I even have a stupid in-law in the US who supports and even contributes to this useless cause. He is outside the country and if anything goes wrong he will be safe. Do they think when we have Biafra the issues of marginalisation will be solved? The typical Abia man hates the Anambra man. The Nnewi man feels superior to the Ozubulu man and so on. What we need is to call our government to order and demand for social inclusion. We should demand that our region should be developed. We should demand for equity and equality and not secession. Besides Nnamdi kanu is not our Messiah.

  33. Mrs Ifeoma, thanks for your reasonable comment - the igbos have more to lose in this struggle, if not done in a peaceful way. I pity these miscreants and ignorant
+ jobless mofos following this hunchback nonentity called Nnamdi Kanu. When the chips are finally down, he will return with his wife to the UK (that is if his wife has not already returned there to take care of the kids since school has resumed). How on earth can Kanu be the leader of the igbos in this struggle? Really shameful to the other brilliant, enlightened and courageous Igbo men! Please, many innocent lives will be lost in this senseless agitation (reminds me of the June 12/Abiola struggle).
